I see what you mean. Many people blame it on the hip hop culture. Worked in a club and seen many a
things. So I feel too comfortable for my own good disagreeing with everyone. It just so happens to
be that many people who are ignorant are black.
Many MS13 Gang members are rising too. But they are kids destroying the reputable credit it had.
Blacks aren't the only race with idiots who break the law. |

I think people rely on statistics too much rather than trying to change the world for the better. |

You need to give the numbers based on income. Everyone on this side has the right idea.
The key is, you want to attribute this problem to 'enabling".
The fact is, people of lower incomes have a much worse go at it. Just a simple speeding ticket has a
major effect on their life.
People with income can easily take care of their "minor" infractions.
In my opinion, the biggest single problem is the marijuana debacle. Marijuana has been readily
available starting in Junior High for over 30 years. That is a true statement and one which is the
singlemost ignored fact in American society.
When a teenager is busted for marijuana, it sets off a chain reaction where difference in income is
staggering. People with money hire a lawyer. People with no money are at the mercy of the system.
The ones who hire a lawyer don't even have to appear in court. Their "crime" is easily removed from
their record with some community service. This usually costs the people of income somewhere around
$3k. The people with money can afford to drive their car to community service.
The people with no money have to appear in court. When they go, they are rescheduled. This repeats
itself over and over before they ever talk to a judge. Given the constraints of not having money, it
is almost inevitable they will miss one of these bugus court dates.
Then comes a warrant. Then comes additional fines. Then comes jail. While the child with money is
doing their community service and having their record wiped clean, the child with no money is
falling into the criminal justice system. A series of mounting fines and punishment and commitments
that are quite difficult to keep.
One might say, "What has this got to do with murder and the dropout rate?"
It has everything to do with it. Find the numbers of teenagers busted for marijuana possession. |

Smart people know its socio-economic not the color of the skin. Like I've said before I've been all
around the world and the one common thing i've found in these countries is that the minority class
has always been the dominate culture with the highest crime and prison rate. It hardly fails.
Its simply a power struggle.
At one time in Europe, Redheads were an underclass minority group before exploration, simply because
they had red hair. Redheads represented 5% of the culture if you look at hair color. Easy for them
to stand out and easy to marginalize them. And any bad behavior they do, its because they are
redheaded. That is how racist think.
It is not hard for a majority class to marginalize another culture or class of people within a
society. And very easy to blame physical characteristics as a cause of their behavior. |

Here are some more interesting figures; we in America imprison black men at a 5 times higher rate
than they did in South Africa during apartheid which the entire world condemned. Our facts and
figures coupled with so many people with your attitude always make me wonder why we would have an
expectation of a poor black man to care about our definitions of cultural acceptability. |

Once again the same simple mistake is made after looking at some figures. The blackness of skin is
not the reason why these figures look bad but the social situation that has, over many years, led a
large number of a particular cultural group to have poor jobs, poor education and a lower quality of
life. Where these situations are allowed to develop, many problems plus drugs and alcohol take a
stranglehold and the problems you spoke of occur more frequently. |

It isn't because they are black (while there is a cultural aspect, that is primarily down to
history, not colour), it's because of the socio-economic situation. |
