Oh yeah! The rock from that era was awesome and it had music that made you want to dance. It is way better than contemporary alternative rock. Also MTV was much better in the 80's. With the exception of the shows such as parental control, all MTV is today is rap videos.

I agree! I love 80s music. It's so much better than the music that we have today. I tend to find today's music much more depressing. Music in the 80s was so much more uplifting and fun. I still listen to it today! I was born in the 80s, and we have a compilation video of different performances by a selection of artists from the 80s which we always enjoy watching. It's great to look back on those times.

I find a lot of today's music depressing too. Depressing music is not my kind of music. For me, music should be stuff that could make you excited and wanna get up and move.

I agree. The 1980s was the best time for a lot of things and I always that the last of the best of anything occurred in 1989. The music of the 1980s was the best music ever produced. Many of the artists of the 1980s are still around singing today. I bet that today's singers will not be around singing in 20 years. The music of the 80s had style, class, rhythm, and above all, the lyrics were decent and enjoyable. They were not vulgar, foul, degrading, or offensive in any way. Even the one-hit wonders did an excellent job and their music is still enjoyed by millions today. Therefore, I would definitely agree that the music of the 1980s was the best music every written, produced, and played.
