The 7th Harry Potter Movie (if There Is One) Will Be Rated R 18+
At the rate they are getting worse now, with dark themes and frightening scenes the 7th one could be completely unsuitable for young Harry Potter fans.
Yes it will cause then i can't go with my friends unless my mom came!!! This goes with putting 6
back to july!!! While i'm at camp. I don't know why i'm using caps!!!111!!1
What's is so scary about the last Harry Potter book and film, isn't all just adoption? PG-13 would
just be just fine with me...especially those who had read the book.... Lets consider the parady
between Lord of the Ring and Narnia: Prince Caspian, see their rating for yourself.
I severely doubt that the 7th film will be given an R rating (or 18 where I live in the UK). The
books are generally aimed at children/teenagers so I highly doubt that the film will be made
unsuitable for people under the age of 18. Many viewers would be lost if the rating was put up.
It is true that the books films have been darker of late. The last two Harry Potter films were rated
12A, which means suitable for people aged 12 and over (accompanied by an adult if they are under
12). This was a suitable rating considering the content of the two films.
The seventh book does contain swear words, but this is hardly enough to give the film an 18 rating
and there has already been the use of swear words in the previous films.
The deaths in the book are not gory and will be no different to how characters have died in the
previous films.
Films such as Lord of the Rings and other battle films were given a 12 rating in the UK, so I hardly
think that the seventh film will be worse than these types of films. I compare the film to Lord of
the Rings as there are battle scenes in the seventh book and the majority of characters die by magic
and not weapons such as swords.
Children who have read the book will know what to expect. Children who haven't read the books are
likely to have already seen the previous films and will already be used to the dark themes.
No, it will be PG-13 like the others. If the kids have read the book, it won't be a big deal and
most of the fans who started with the first book are adults now anyhow.
There really isn't anything in the book that was so dark that kids can't be exposed to it.
