My 4 Over-rated Things:
1. Self-Righteous-Hypocritical-Confidence-Cannibals,
2. Pompous-Arses,
3. Critical-Overbearing-Emotional-Terrorists,
4. People Who Think Their College-Degrees=Actual Intelligence. |

There are definitely four things I find overrated.
Politicians, I expect everybody can think of at least four.
The E U, unelected meddlers telling us how we should live.
Supermarkets, Squeeze farmers till they're put out of business, then sell us what they want us to
buy.
Rolls Royce's. Think what you or I could do with that sort of money. |

That's a riot, I love your four.
Others to consider (and some will find these controversial): 1) Marriage - lifelong legal obligation
whether happy or not and with a guarantee of mutual destruction should you part, 2) Having children
- All that expense, time, loss of freedom, and for what? To have a legacy, a way to live on past
death? How long does that last? Are you the spitting image personality and lifestyle of your great
great grandfather? No. Your legacies usually kiss you goodbye even before you're dead. 3)
Substance abuse - drugs, alcohol, whatever. There's the initial buzz the first time, the sense of
the cool or forbidden, maybe even a belief addiction or side effects won't grip you. But for most
people it's never the same as the brochure is it? Getting high is quite overrated. 4) Religion -
Sure it makes some people happy, have a purpose, and claims to do miracles, but really what does
most religion accomplish? Lost time and money, guilt and self loathing, interference with selves
and others. Some people go to church like zombies their whole lives never learning anything really
and trying to turn their kids into zombies too. If you're in the zombie family wouldn't you say
religion is overrated too? |
