Tearing Up The Environment Is Bad!
We should stop or at least limit the amount of land we tear up for construction of houses and stores etc. We tear up animal habitats and land for fun we need to act soon.

I agree. If we don't stop, there will be no homes for the animals and they will be forced to live among us which I am pretty sure isn't easy.

If this continues we'll have no land for fun or animal habitats decreasing the population of species of animals and insects! Is this what we want? Is this what we live for?NO! Loosing animals can create a major problem in the food chain.

Mankind is more important then animals. If you agree with this statement then this entire debate is pointless. If you don't then where is the rationality, of believing that mankind is less powerful and less fit then animals such as dogs.

Restrictions on land use are part of what is responsible for spiralling property prices in many countries around the world. In places like northern Italy, people are forced to continue living with their parents into their 30s because they cannot afford their own home.

I remember I was in Munich a few years ago. There was a chronic and ridiculous shortage of accommodation. I had to stay in a hotel for months before finding a flat. People would stay up till midnight at the newsagents just to get the first edition of the newspaper that had accommodation adverts in it. Yet in the same city was a giant park, called the English Garden, that could have been used for building homes, but wasn't.

The only way housing will become affordable for many people is if the supply of it increases. That means building more homes. Space is needed to build those homes and some of it may have to come from the countryside.

If you took the money that is saved by buying the cheaper accommodation that would be created in this way compared to what would have been spent if the land use restrictions were maintained and so housing was kept more expensive, you could use that money to do a lot of good. You could spend it to help the environment or animals in many different ways.
