I can agree somewhat with your statement.
They so rigorously separate church and state, when we really could have benefited from what the
instructor had to say about his or her view on religion.
Unless the teacher says something seriously offensive, I doubt that anyone will be upset about a
teacher expressing their views on Christianity or any other faith.
However, I feel it is a very bad thing indeed when a teacher spouts off their political views to
young, impressionable minds.
Most teens couldn't care less about politics, so if a well-respected teacher says "Go Obama" they'll
simply accept that and believe it to be true.
Therefore, I feel something should be done about teachers saying their political views. |

Although I recognize that there needs to be a core curriculum and lesson plan to make sure essential
subjects get covered I do agree I've seen teachers do their own deviations and have far bigger
impact on their students. It takes a balance. You need a certain amount of curriculum and a
certain amount of adaptation by the teacher to the students. |

When the teachers have freedom in teaching their student, its not always a good thing. Thue older
and stiffer teachers might think that by hitting their students is the only way of making them do
well and give them motivation. But its not. It will only ake them hate their teachers more. And thus
would have even less motivation. |
