Overpopulation sure is a problem! (I can name names) |

Sound like we have a volunteer. |

They tried limiting how many children a couple can have in china. It didn't work. A couple would
have a girl, but because having a boy is better, the couple would kill the girl to have a boy. So
you see, limiting it is not a good idea. This will just continue in other cultures where boys are
seen as the better sex. |

Look the over population is not to the point were we should limit babies per couple, the only way is
to get of this predicament is global warming. Why? Global warming is affecting animals so they can't
kill other animals so that leaves the overpopulation. It in the circle o life. Read about it. |

All you personally can do is decide not to breed.
There is no way we can ever stop the rest of the world from doing it. And if we outstrip our food
supply and some of us starve it's sad but that's nature doing what it does when any population grows
too big. |

Human overpopulation isn't nearly as big a problem as you suggest, and growth will naturally stop
within 50 years anyway, with the global population probably holding steady at about 9-10billion. The
earth can probably support that, especially if we continue to advance technologically as we have so
far. No problem. |

Who is "we"? The U.N.? Some yet to be named population control organization. Scary.
What if "they" had started with you? |

The population of any species on this planet is self-correcting (even to the point of extinction),
so while I may agree that many of our current problems are due to too many humans, I disagree that
we "must" do anything about it. |

When I read the statement, "Something must be done about human overpopulation", it gives me a very
uncomfortable feeling. It conjures up ideas in relation to wildlife management; population control
done through the hunting or forced removal of the animal. When that scenario is applied to
humans...it just isn't right. Suppressing the rights/freedoms of human beings by controling the way
they populate/procreate is a huge human rights issue!
I am curious. What would your solution be to the overpopulation "problem"? |

No matter which worldview you adhere to, naturalist or religious, the answer must be no. Religions
say life is sacred and should be allowed to flourish. Naturalists say the fittest will survive.
Either way, nothing should be done. |
