I agree.
I might just have stubby legs or arthritis. Its not like its dying, you don't kill a lady because
she cant make it up the stairs |

It’s about quality of life. It’s got to be a personal call. If dealing with the stairs is too
much for you and the dog then maybe it is time. There is no hard and fast rule. I find that a dog
will let you know when it’s not having fun anymore. |

You know, some people can't CLIMB stairs, should we kill them, too? |

My dog is scarred of stairs, he is perfectly healthy and 2 years old, besides we don't want him up
stairs. |

No cause it could just be old but it still has a few more years |

Don't make it climb stairs. Period. |

Whats next putting a dog down because he's the wrong colour or barks to much. |
| |
|
| |
|

|
|
Hmm, well maybe we should put you down because you cant spell 'climb' |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
No way! It's like killing YOU because you can't jump a hurdle. |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
Wow. I disagree. That's just wrong. It isn't the animals fault he can't climb down stairs. You
should help it get down or up the stairs not put him down!!!!!!! |
| |

I would accommodate a pet downstairs, but that's maybe just me. |

No. Why should you? Dogs didn't have to climb stairs during evolution. If you capture a dog from the
wild (or acquire a descendant of a dog captured from the wild) and put it in an unnatural
environment where it has to climb stairs, you are responsible for its well-being. So you should help
the dog overcome the problem it has, because you are the one who created that problem.
If you kill the dog just to make things more convenient for yourself, it is a shameful and immoral
act and the dog should come back and haunt you for it. |
