The Driving Age Should Be Changed

I think the driving age should be higher because most of the car accident reasons are immature teenagers trying to show off.

The driving age should be changed lower instead of higher. Its the parents responsibilities to look after their child. The parent should be in the car with the learner and help him with the driving instead of letting them drive at lik midnight.

Test should be changed to 25 and anyone without a license insurance etc should be made to work in the A & E of their nearest hospital for 6 months

I really agree and i'm voting for it cause the driving age should be change cause if they keep the age at a teenager that's a bad thing cause teens like drive to friends house or go 2 a liquor store to buy a alcoholic beverage and when they go to a friends house they drugs and smoke when there is no parents home so the should raise the age like by 20 or above so this a very good debate

Yes I believe that they should change the driving age. As of late teen angers seem to be acting more and more irresponsibly and someone else ends up paying the price. Most likely it is the parents. (Note I'm 18 no kids) If the teen angers of the next couple of years can prove that they are mature and responsible enough then they should consider changing the driving age, at least for taking driving lessons. I think that the sooner you learn the better.

I feel that 16 is a great age. Anything under that age is 2 low and if we wait until 18 our parents now longer have control of us. At 16 we still have rules.

16 is a fine age to start driving. But seriously, we can't really make an arbitrary standard for all to start driving. Some 16 year olds would make fine drivers, and others make pathetic drivers. I'm more against an arbitrary standard than changing the age, really.

I disagree with this debate. The driving age should be raised to at least 18. In addition, they should require all drivers to have a high school diploma before they issue a driver's license. 16 years old are not mature enough to drive a car. They think it is a toy and they cause a lot of wrecks. Therefore, there is no way they should lower the driving age. They should increase it and make teenagers work to get the license. No high school diploma, no driver's license. Maybe that will teach teenagers that cars are not toys and should be taken seriously.

 some people are 18 and are only in 10th grade. so the high school diploma is dumb. especially if they cant afford it
