I have to say, as a teenager I don't text that much,
I prefer phone calls or e-mails.
Lots of people at my school are always texting in lessons or even when they're being talked to by
the teachers; it's just so rude! And they get away with it!
Texts are so tedious anyway. What's all this rubbish about having to press a key three times to
bring up a 'C'?
It's so much quicker just to call someone; or even e-mail them! |

No! It's a great way to get a urgent message across. Because sometimes when someone is busy, they
won't answer a call. What if it's urgent? They can quickly read a text rather than not answering
at all. |

No not at all. Texitng or texing on a mobile is a cheap way to send a message to someone, and have a
good chance of them getting it right away. Some limits should be put in place ie class or the work
place.
And I agree with scorpion, why does everything have to be banned. We don't all go around the
supermarket speaking loudly to no one. I used to think people only did it to attract attention or
show how affluent they are. Why can't they just send a text? If any thing ought be banned it should
be having a loud conversation while going down the isles. There I go again on about what people
shouldn't do in the supermarkets. |

No.
Texting should not be banned.
Why does everything always have to be banned?
Whats wrong with anything so much laws! Who could keep it all straight?!
Enough of the banning craze. |

Wait if you think that it is a great way to communicate with others sometimes...then you shouldn't
have a problem with texting. So why would you want it to be banned. I mean if you don't want to text
because you don't like that method of communicating at that time...then simply call that
person....not text.. Is that simple or what? |

There's no point in banning texting. It has become an extremely popular feature over the years.
Whilst I don't think it should replace more traditional forms of communication such as letter
writing, I do think that texting is useful. Text messages are quick and easy to send and very
convenient if you are out and need to get a quick message to someone.
There are situations where text messages may not be appropriate, such as in schools or colleges
during lessons. They shouldn't be banned, but students should focus on what's happening in the
lesson rather than spending their time texting. |

Only in schools should it be banned. People are saved by texting this guy broke into this girls
house and she hid under the covers and texted her mom to call the cops. If someone kidnapped you.
You could easily txt the cops without the guy knowing sometimes it is better than talking |

Texting is the future way of communicating between two persons. For urgent and short messages, it's
the best approach.
Of course, if one uses it in school to cheat while writing a test, it's not fair... |
