Primary Schools In Singapore Should Be Ranked
Recently, the Singapore Government stripped off the ranking system (EM1, EM2, EM3, EM1 being the top stream.) Although stripping off the ranking system is good as they allow the pupil's strengths and weaknesses, it can also make them believe that 'they do not need to work hard to get a good place'.

Schools should be ranked and the results reported to the public. However, no school should really be different from the other. Each and every student should have an equal opportunity to learn and grow and all schools should offer that option for all students. I believe that any student who is willing to learn, should be taught. Schools have to be ranked by the success of their students. This is how they can tell where they are failing and improvements can be made. If you do not rank the schools, it would be hard to determine their academic success and it will be harder for them to improve. Therefore, primary schools in Singapore and other countries around the world should be ranked according to their academic success and excellence.
