You two are funny. I'm just asking if it should be a category on this site for easy searching. I know people should be able to talk about it and I know that many consider it superstition. Those are different debates.

The way we answer debate questions is interesting. Very political. We are often so absorbed in our agenda, we fail to address the real issue.

"This needs no explanation" Well yes it does you need to state why your for or against it and why you are for or against it. Your explanation is basically a way to skip on giving a explanation.

I think it should because in America there is a thing called the right of free speech. If i don't like religion i have the right to say so and there's nothing anybody can do about it.

Yes it should, until that glorious day when all this superstitious nonsense has been fully and finally purged from the Earth. Then it can be reabsorbed into the History category. Until then, cerebral capacity must continue to be needlessly and wastefully expended on refuting the lies and mythologies that the believers bring forth to try and fool people into joining their cults. If all that brain power had instead been spent on something worthwhile, doing scientific research for example, the human race would be so much better off than it is. These superstitions have been millstone round the neck of the human race ever since they were first invented.

 Men are quick to blame religion for many of the problems you state. While religion is certainly not blameless, people in power and people who conquered with power throughout history, were quick to use religion to manipulate their subjects.

Your argument should include such people. These people also have manipulated science to their ends.

In the end, taking all history into consideration, its more a human issue. There have been great deeds accomplished by humans through both science and religion. There has also been the opposite.

The fact that humans do bad things with good things is quite clear. It could definitely be argued that if humans get hold of the best possible thing, at least one of them would do the worst possible thing with it.

Humans have killed each other throughout history in the name of religion. Humans have also killed in great numbers when religion had nothing to do with it.

Trust me....take away all religion and humans will easily find a reason to dominate other humans. And you can bet, as they have throughout history, science will be used to dominate.

 The only way to fight on this site is to debate. Judging by the name of this site and its structure...they want us to debate. So, your response makes no sense.

You should start a site called ForAndAgree.

All roads lead to Rome, so to speak: Man is by nature, a four dimensional character, and religion speaks to his higher self the self that lives into eternity.

Go along long enough in any conversation and eventually it will involve spiritual matters/Philosophy.

 True, it is said religion touches all facets of life. Religious posts could be attached to all categories. Which is the case on this site. Still, seems to me, as many as there are, it would be nice to have a large portion of them grouped in a religious category.

Might unclutter some of the other categories.
