It all depends on what age you are considering for example eight or even nine year olds(i believe) are not informed enough to be able to vote properly...i could see 15 year olds voting....but then again SOME of them could be still immature, so you cant say only the mature ones can vote

I think people my age should be aloud to vote.
We were getting a good share of politics in my class before i went of track. Also we are getting mature enough to vote so why not.

You can't say that kids who know about politics can vote but kids who don't can't - that would be a terribly flawed system that is completely unthought through.

My friend once said that if she could vote now, she'd vote for the most good-looking candidate. This is just one reason why it would be a terrible choice to let under 18's vote.

They are too uninformed. They would vote however their parents voted, giving an unfair advantage to the voters with more kids. Their parents' votes would essentially count extra times.

Kids hardly know what is good for themselves mostly, let alone their country. They also barely know anything about politics or economics or the good of society. Besides, why do they need to vote? Their parents can do it for them. I think young people need to gain more experience in life, either by further education or some form of career before they can have the right to vote, as well as pay taxes and such.

Ridiculous. Most kids don't know squat about government, money, the world, etc. Most can't even name the candidates (I'm sure there are some exceptions). And in many families the kids would vote however their parents told them to.

Even though they are young, they are still able to be more easily swayed by insignificant issues. I say leave the voting to the older people.

You're allowed to vote for American Idol. That's enough for now.
