| Grades Determine A Child's Intelligence |
| When a child get grades form work at school, should the district or colleges criticize
them |

I totally disagree with you. Albert Einstein was very poor in math and look at his accomplishments. |

No.
Grades are a reflection of the child's self-esteem, and home-life.
And familial-expectations.
And having just one teacher show some human caring, can also make a difference in the child's
grades.
You teachers have a lot more power and influence then you would ever think or believe.
If a child thinks/perceives a teacher cares about them believes in them, thinks well highly of them,
that child will bust their A$$ to get that A to receive the teacher's approval/acceptance. |

As stated previously the definition of intelligence is debatable. I myself see intelligence as being
able to use common sense reliability and correctly. Math is intelligence if you can take a problem
lets say a box with a round top and use the formulas for area of cylinder and area of cube to find
the area of the combined shape. |

Grades are very often determined by one or two tests. This is highly unreliable because performance
may depend on so many outside influences such as the weather ('dampen' your spirits), recent social
interactions before the exam ("Haha, you're going to fail!") and even something simple like 'have
you eaten recently?'. You may have all the knowledge you need yet something may impede recall on the
day and cause you to 'freeze' and panic, ruining your chances.
The definition of 'Intelligence' is highly debatable as well. |

Most kids when they take tests do not feel like "yay now i get to show off my talents" they most
likely feel a lot of pressure to get a good grade... Because that is all they are taught is to get
good grades not to learn as much as they can and to just do their best. For most everyone it is just
get the grades and that makes you smart. Well I am horrible at science. I got mostly D's in that
subject but that does not make me any less intelligent then the next guy it just means that i don't
understand science. |

Totally.
I'm what you could say "passing just to get by" in some subjects. But I am very smart. Not to brag.
I am good in some subjects and no so great in others. Like math. Who math, no brain when it comes
to math. But that doesn't make me dumb because i can't do math but I can do other subjects. |

Heck, no.
I have a bad grade in math, but I'm really good at it.
It's because i make stupid mistakes like copying down the wrong problem. Not that I'm stupid!!! |

No because intelligence can be many things. E.g we change as we got older so are grades may change.
Plus they're can be intelligent comedians by making good jokes and being confident. And there can be
intelligent Mathematicians who are very clever with numbers. But good grades sometimes give you
better opportunities some don't.
I think it's about the effort you put into your goal. |
