Seeing as no one has voted for this issue, I'll put my comment on this side...
I'll assume that you all aren't talking bout the Federal Aviation Administration :) |

Leave it to Americans to think that a free thinking debate website be classified as X rated.
The day I block my children from being able to speak their minds and learn how to intelligently
argue their points is the day let censorship hinder the development of their brains.
Your argument makes no sense. |

No, for exactly the same reason it shouldn't be classified as a knitting pattern site - it isn't. |

Nah. Perhaps we could have a pg 13 section but I don't see anything here that can't be repeated on
regular television. |

There isn't really too much posted that is overtly sexual in nature...it's not like it's an adult
chat or something...BUT, there are some debates, especially the ones filled with hateful messages,
that impressionable children really don't need to see and shouldn't see. Today's youth will,
hopefully, grow up to be more tolerant than this generation. Recently, at a local movie theater, I
took a look at the description of the rating system (of course, that is here in the US) and there is
a rating of NC-17 that applies to content that is too mature for kids under 17, but it does not have
to be because of anything of a sexual nature.
LD...part of my response is based upon your response, which seemed to indicate that you felt an X
rating would draw more sexually explicit content.
In all honesty, I feel it is a parent's role to determine what their children are looking at online.
It is difficult to ban minors. They typically find a way around the system and gain access to
sites that are off limits to them. I have thought for some time that some debates are too mature
for kids and not only the ones that are heated, but any of the topics that are over their heads due
to the lack of knowledge that comes with age. Still, they can learn much from reading these debates
even if they are not truly prepared to participate in them at a high level. |

Translation: LordDaniel's pants are off and hands are busy while conversing on For and Against.
Personally it doesn't have that same effect on me. I've got FAR better sites to go to if I want
some XXX. |

I'm against it, if FAA gained an X certificate it would gain numerous more visitors, and the site as
a whole would become littered with filthy disgusting debates. Who would want to participate in
debates about sodomy, and bizzare sex, and other debates of this nature?...;-) Yikes! Not me...;-) |

No, it's not that erotic. Anyway, the FAA team does such a good job those debates are removed. |
