You might consider acquainting yourself with modern intensive (animal) food stock rearing methods.
We can start another debate about why animals are reared in this way, but believe me (and I believe
in the sanctity of life in all its forms)... The animals who fall prey to hunters are the lucky
ones. |

Since the beginning of man (homo sapians that is), we have always been known as Carnivores. We
survive by eating food that is either of meat or from a plant. Until the 1900's most all meals you
ate were hunted or raised by families. My point is that these species of animals have been around
for centuries upon centuries and were hunted, killed etc. And not only are these animals not
"in-danger", but there are too many of them. So many that they effect our personal safety f and many
deaths occur each year from hitting a deer while driving your car. An article from the New York
Times states:
"For public safety reasons, marksmen are increasingly used in areas of high population density, as
in the winter 2008 deer cull in a nature preserve in Maplewood, N.J.,"
Not only are they hunted, certain area's pay for deer to be hunted. Could you imagine if deer where
not allowed to be hunted either? This statement is very opinion biased and not to rational. |

It should be remembered that hunters have by far been the largest contributors to wild life
conservation in the U.S. For a 150 years. Without them our national forest system would be a shadow
of what it is today. |

I'm no fan of hunting. In many scenarios I consider it cruel.
However, hunting is regulated and used as a basis to cull overpopulation of species. In that case I
fully agree with it. Animals otherwise will breed and thrive and outgrow the limited natural areas
left in this world, ultimately causing the collapse of their limited ecosystem.
What I absolutely disagree with is any hunting unrelated to population control, such as poaching of
endangered animals. |

There is nothing wrong with hunting for extracurricular activity. I hunt almost year round and love
it. I eat a lot of the meat and the meat I don't eat I donate to hungry families. Everyone wins. |
