Where? How? And is the implication that science is acceptable within religion, or are you saying
science must be subservient to religion since it's folded into religious beliefs? I'm just not sure
where this was supposed to go.
To me, I don't think religion and science are mutually exclusive. The principles studied in science
may in fact have come from God. The only place you run into direct head to head conflict is when
someone takes a literalist view of a religious story, like Genesis in the Bible, and then insists
any observations science might make to the contrary are heresy. But if instead you view religion as
a framework of parables and concepts then anything science might tell you can still coincide with
religious view themselves. |
