That would basically be government control of how you dress. Students don't have enough civil

Well, in a sense yes. I am doing a class debate, and i am going against school uniforms, mainly
because it totally breaks Amendment 1... And because they're all... Dare i say it... SKIRTS
*shivers* And because they don't allow females to wear ties... Totally retarded!!! I love to wear
ties even though I'm female, it's just my sense of style. |

It should be illegal in the us because kids should have the right to wear whatever they want. |

Take note, I took this from a similar debate. It is my own comment though and is not taken from
anyone else:
When school uniforms were put into action, several positive effects occured- student safety
increased 62%, school spirit 72%, and classroom discipline 79%. And most importantly- concentration
on school work rose 67%.
Uniforms also lower the amount of bullying that kids receive.
And on a side note, 8th grade the best year of your life? Heck no. 8th grade was miserable for me,
and I can only assume 9th grade will be worse... |

The way some kids dress (or undress) these days is appealing ! A little bit of decency would be
welcomed.
To have an uniform or, at least, a code dress, is a good idea. To ban uniforms is an overkill. |

Whether it is a public school or any other, a school uniform should be a must factor everywhere.
There are many things related to a school uniform, firstly every school has its own separate uniform
and this is what distinguishes them from each other. Apart from these a school uniform is required
for children to wear up to a certain level because it helps in incorporating discipline within the
student. A student realizes the importance of his or her uniform and how it is related to the
school. So if by any way uniforms in public schools are being made illegal then all these issues
will be affected. By wearing a school uniform a student understands that in order to grow up in a
well mannered and cultured way, one must follow certain discipline since childhood and that is what
finally helps them to have a better future. |

Well what you said is what i expect fro man 8th grader kids don't get it some kids are less
fortunate in money and are embarrassed if they wore uniforms everyone would be looking same and you
can get uniforms from a thrift store |
