Love does exist. It may at times be one-sided but it does exist. Love develops over a period of
time, so if you are in and out of relationships, you haven't given love a chance to grow. It seems
as if you have given up on love. Maybe you're looking in the wrong places for love. Remember it is
better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all. |

I was on my way to becoming very bitter and cynical as opposed to merely skeptical.....and
disillusioned about Love,
until I met a man who changed all that for me....:-)

Love is a spiritual union with another person. Some people are not capable of this due to
immaturity and or egocentrism. When the happiness of another person becomes more important than
your happiness, and this is reciprocated you begin to understand love. When there is a connection
between you and another person that rises above lust and other prominent parts of our superficial
selves, then you are approaching love. It is one of the things that gives meaning and purpose to
life. |

Depends how you look at it, how you were brought up, the culture your in, the ideas that you've
developed. For example, western culture - lose your virginity before your 20! Having sex is amazing!
Divorce if the marriage doesn't work! Etc. Indian culture - find one person and stay with them!
Don't have sex until your married! ( and in some Indian cultures ) - marriage lasts forever, divorce
isn't an option! Basically some cultures are doomed to the statement you've made. And I'm not
being racist, but the majority of white people and black people are like this. White people MORE so. |

I have known many people who have stayed their whole lives together.
I have seen may posts on F and A on this very subject.
I concur that there is a reasonable chance that one day we find our perfect match. Maybe even more
than once.
It is the ideal match for your own particular personality.
One of the things that is unhelpful to relationships these days, is a reluctance to commitment.
Hear are just a few more things to consider when there is a difference of opinion. Intolerance,
selfishness, reluctance to see things from the others point of view, unwillingness to compromise or
make allowances for the other.
Love is all those things and more. |
