Sarcasm Is By No Means The Lowest Form Of Wit.
Sarcasm is a fantastic thing, and that statement is completely derogatory. Surely the lowest form of wit is defined by Jim Carrey: Pulling faces and making silly sounds. (NB: I love Jim Carrey)

Sarcasm is a hard thing to master, if you are trying to be funny but not really good at it and everyone just looks at you like you are a retard then your not the wittest person ever are you. Sarcasm shows you can think on your feet and show a positive funny side to you. Sarcasm is the best!

I'm a great fan of sarcasm, I find it ( depending on the situation of course ) one of the most amusing forms of putting somebody down.

I completely agree. Mastering sarcasm to a fine point requires skill and intelligence. It can be extremely funny.
