Yes........;-)
And that would be: A pretty woman running for public office in high places.
The men do not want her there because her pretty face is a distraction to THEM.
The women don't want her there because she is prettier than them, and that is why THEY hate her.
There is no room AT THE VERY TOP FOR A VERY GOOD-LOOKING WOMAN IN POLITICS.
Attractiveness, is what shot Sarah Palin in the foot.
Looks are rewarded in beauty pageants but penalized in politics.
It is Attractiveness-Discrimination at work. |

ABSOLUTELY Palin can't be tolerated because she isn't a dye in the wool original purebred
politician. She is someone who thought lucky breaks in her looks became in a situation that led her
to be more involved socially and felt that she could change the society around her for the better.
She has not changed her beliefs and core values whether you agree with her or not you have to admire
that in her. She knows herself very well and has worked up into politics. She didn't go to college
at age 18 looking to become a VP. She is not ashamed of her disabled child nor her teenager's own
decision as mistaken as they may have been. She is REFRESHING and funny. She is more normal and down
to Earth; more so than any politician in this race. PLUS she is the only one with leadership
achievement, McCain, Biden & Obama have been Senators they spend their careers debating and writing
not leading she has had to lead a State which like it or not is vital to America’s oil economy. |

I think the big problem with Palin is that republicans don't seem to have been comfortable with her
since they failed to vote for her. |

As it can be nothing but clear I have nothing to fear of Palin becoming VP now, let me just share
this much. First, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and is relative. While Palin is not hard on
the eyes, I must refrain from entertaining the very PC notion that she is universally "beautiful."
If I can accomplish this, then it is reasonable to assume that many of the "elite" can also enjoy
such success in this realm. Last, while it is refreshing to enjoy the antics of a different clown,
her clownery is no more refreshing than that of any Bush. (I suppose one can say that Bush's
philosophy is also relatively refreshing.) It is not merely Palin's philosophy that threatens to
entertain for all of its bold outlandishness. It is also the subtle nuances of her ignorance. I am
convinced that, if not for the likes of intelligent, substantial women in the forefront of the
media, like Hilary or Condeleeza Rice, lil' old Palin would have successfully regressed the women's
movement several decades. But she is cute, ain't she?Boop-boop be-doop. |

Look at it this way she is not a bad woman. She just needs to get some standards and stop agreeing
with what McShame is saying and instead with what Obama is saying! This is my honest opinion! Also
stop making things so long and complicated! I could hardly tell what you were rambling on about up
there! |

I agree with your title to an extent but not your explanation. Its not that she is a liberated,
strong woman that is the reason why the US cannot tolerate her. Most of America would be fine with a
woman president or vice. Hilary had a great deal of support and was a strong woman despite not
becoming the presidential candidate. It is the fact that Palins ideology is something they can't
tolerate and her constant goofs. It seems to me she can't go a day without doing something stupid.
No "elite" should tolerate this from a man or woman who is going to potentially be the most powerful
person in the world. |

Yes, she represents something the elite cannot and should not tolerate : The prospect of a
know-nothing idiot running the most powerful country in the world. It has nothing to do with her
stance on abortion.
Her executive experience is equivalent to that gained from running a burger stall. |
