Santa Claus was certainly based on a demonstrably real person, but no, the stories told about Santa Claus are largely invented by the Coca Cola Company in the early 20th century and have absolutely no basis in reality.

Santa clause is made-up but it has history that leads to someone that used to dress up and delivery toys to children.

If you follow logic, from one tweaky point of view, there MUST be a Santa Claws;-) 1. People sure spend Lotta dollars for his b-day! ;-)

 I know your joking but i cant resist a point. So what your saying is if a lot of people believe in something it must be true and then the world must have been flat for hundreds of years till it decided to inflate itself.
