| It was 40 years ago tonight that Robert Kennedy was killed. Officially, his death was blamed on "lone nut" Sirhan Sirhan, who still languishes in prison for the crime. The truth is, though, that Sirhan was simply the patsy, a Manchurian candidate hypno-programmed to shoot at Kennedy while a second shooter, the real killer, elsewhere in the crowd, delivered the real kill shots. Sirhan had no memory of the incident and no antipathy to Kennedy. In fact, he admired him. More bullets were found in the pantry than could be held in Sirhan's gun. Sirhan was a patsy. |
