Socrates said, the unexamined live is not worth living.
Norman Geisler a christian philosopher added, the unexamined belief is not worth believing.
Therefore, religion should constantly be examined and debated. |

You should always question things. All things should be examined at all times by all persons. |

We should always ask questions. Sometimes it doesn't make sense to ask ourselves a question which we
know the answer to, but it is not bad. |

I will admit that I'm getting a little tired of seeing religious debates. I believe it is a subject
where people should keep their beliefs to themselves. It is a debatable topic, but too much of a
sensitive topic to be debated on here. |

I think a factor in continuous and ongoing debates about God and religion is simply it is important
to people. The questions of: Where we come from; what, if any, is our purpose and reason for
being; why are things so wrong; are there answers; where are we going; is there hope; etc. Not to
think about such things would be incredibly incurious! |

Yes, I get sick of having to do it, but I get even more sick of people making ludicrous claims based
on religion that *NEED* to be challenged.
If people would stop having imaginary friends in the sky and claiming God told them to do things,
then maybe we wouldn't have to debate religion so often. |

The debates that I’ve created throughout my time of being on this site have always pertained to
either scientifically or historically related aspects of claims that I’ve heard previously. I’ve
never created a topic simply to debate whether or not a god exists or anything of the sort. I may
have posted or commented on debates concerning such a subject, but it was probably only because I
witnessed an assertion far beyond anything that could be considered rational. Regardless, it
doesn’t bother me in the least when I debate on topics concerning religion. In fact, it’s
actually one of my favorite debating subjects. |

Yes, i am very sick of the religious debates. There are many different ways people worship god and
so be it. There are many different languages and you don't see people debating about that. Every
person is different and believes things in their own ways, so just let it go. |

Yeah, sure...y'know, I think the Middle East has been debating about religion since 600 A.D., and
look how they came out on top! Lotsa death n' stuff. Religion really shouldn't be debated because
there is no point; religion is not just some flexible idea one can bend this way and that. Religious
beliefs are as stubborn as George Bush. |

I don't have a problem with it, but I wouldn't say should. |

Religions are very much like drug use not only because both are addictive and destructive, but
because more and new designer drugs keep being invented.
Just as with drugs, hallucinogenic religions only cause damage. Banning them is the only option,
and arguing for their use is idiocy. The issue was decided long ago.
Those who sell religion are exactly like those who sell drugs, unethical scum that seek to create
addictions to increase their profits. And just like drug dealers who shoot each other on street
corners, religious dealers kill those with competing addictive religious drugs. |

The more it is debated, the more obvious it becomes that those who believe it to be irrational are
less rational than intelligent people who submit themselves to Christian faith and follow it. |
