Red Wine Is Better Than White
Generally, I've tasted far nicer red wines than white.

Totally! Life is way too short to drink white wine. Red wine has so many different flavors.

Red wine is a lot better tasting and better for your health. There are many reports that state that drinking one glass of red wine a day will lower your cholesterol and is good for your heart.

Belch! I dislike wine, but red wines are much more tolerable.

Um, yah. I did not type "belch." Another example of something being changed after the fact. I had typed "blech." As in, ick, yuck, gross, whatever. But I suppose a belch would do wine justice- lol.

White for me. Beringer white zin for me. Or Spumante. But I am going to forgo all now that they have shown a definite link between alcohol, even infrequent use, and cancer in women.

White wines contain sulfites, much more than red wines. Sulfites will give you an headache.
Other than that, it is a question of personal taste.

This really depends on one's personal tastes, but I can tell you for sure, that I much prefer white wine. Additionally, white wine is generally much better suited with fish, chicken and pork than red wine, which is generally more appropriate with beef.

I often find red wines to have a much stronger flavour than whites and are usually drier as well. I tend to prefer wines that are a little more subtle when consuming them with dinner. An added advantage is that dry or semi-dry white wine tends to have slightly fewer calories than reds. This is something that wine enthusiasts should keep in mind, because a single glass of red wine often contains close to 120 calories.

My favourite drink, however, is a dessert wine from Hungary called Tokay (Tokaji), which is great with cakes or just after dinner in general.
