Red Wine Has Health Benefits
Do you believe the claims that moderate red wine consumption is good for your health? I was a tea-totaler most of my life but read some news and studies on wine and started a glass a night a couple years ago. My blood pressure and cholesterol are good and I think I need less pain killers. Reportedly it raises good cholesterol, lowers bad, improves your arteries, lowers risk of heart attack or stroke. Dr. Roger Corder has a book which lists most of the major clinical studies and concludes the benefits are true. What do you think?

Well i did hear it could help with cholesterol and also blood pressure so yeah it seems to be pretty healthy unless of course you are an alcoholic or have liver problems then it wouldn't be.

I forgot the reason, but i heard it was healthy, only if u drink like a glass per day though, not if you are drinking a bottle a day.

Red wine is good for you, but only one glass per day. People get way out of hand drinking wine, saying that it is good for them. But, it is proven that any more than one glass can be harmful, not helpful.

Red wine is something that I enjoy drinking immensly. I feel that lots of meals are great with it. Plus, it relaxes you after a stressful day and one glass actually helps you think more clearly.

I believe that red wine has many health benefits and I have always heard that it is good for you. After all, it is made from grapes and fruit is always healthy for you. It has the effect of relaxing you, which gives your body a better chance to heal itself. I might try it once a day to see if it is true. It would be interesting to see if it does make me feel better or more healthy.

If people drink the wine in moderation, I am sure it will have some form of positive effect on the health and happiness.

In moderation all alcoholic beverages, but especially wine and especially red wine are healthy. Actually more healthy than abstaining from alcohol entirely. This is primarily because of the existence of polyphenols in wine. This is an anti-carcinogenic and has also been shown to have certain preventative effects towards coronary heart disease (the number one killer in the UK, cancer is the number 2).

However, it is important to recall that in excess all alcoholic beverages are highly dangerous and highly likely to cause multiple health problems.

It is healthy its supposed to flush out your body like kidneys and stuff right? Then again so does water, it all depends on how much you have

 Water does not raise good cholesterol, lower bad cholesterol, or make arteries flexible. Also water is drank worldwide but health is not consistent worldwide. In comparison France has the so-called French Paradox which is one of the longest life expectancies in the world despite diets high in fats and the French aren't known for drinking lots of water, they drink lots of wine.
