There can be good rap, but it's oh, so rare. Some K-os stuff is good, as is the little bit in "Feel
Good Inc." But, most rap seems to be a basic drumbeat, with someone yelling about how they hate
society, have lots of money, and are better than you. |

I agree with this; if there's an exception to this rule, I haven't found it.

I will not agree that all rap is this way but the majority talking about women as whores and about

words that rhyme. |

Not really. Its just poetry with a beat. Just like most music is a story with a beat. |

I may not be crazy about rap, but well done rap is not at all easy to do and is quite an art form. |

The problem is you've, likely, only heard about 2% of it. If you are talking about Kanye, and 50
pence and his cronies you are right, but don't make the mistake of judging a whole genre because of
them. HipHop was one of the most original forms of art of the last century. Listen to Gangstar,
Tribe Called Quest, BDP, EPMD, De La Soul, Wu-tang, The Roots, Roots Manuva and a load more. Not to
mention all the great music of the last 20 years that it has influenced and fused with. |

I believe this is more of a cultural argument than one on Rap itself as a genre, perhaps people
cannot understand it? Perhaps they dislike it's content, or perhaps the principle. This is far too
open to speculation for my liking but I believe not all rap is 'bad', they all have underlying
meaning to them even if it's considered 'degrading' and 'insulting' to certain people. |

Rap is a culturistic music and it is not horrible it is real emotion and people try hard to do
things and you don't no what it is like to do some of the things they do |
