Does being blond or polish constitute a separate race? |

Racist jokes are not funny, its never fun to make a joke that pokes fun at people because of their
differences. Racist jokes just show ignorance and some people will disagree but its intolerance. |

No racist jokes are not funny, unless you are a racist; obviously. But something I do wonder is that
sexism can be made kind of light-hearted and funny. It can be done so that it isn't horribly
offensive. Many comedians use sexist jokes in a kind of ironical way nowadays, because things have
settled since the feminist movement and we now generally see women in society as equals, that is, at
least in civilised societies.
So with this in mind, will racism go down this route? Will we become so at ease with other races and
see everyone as totally equal, that we will begin to say ironical, comedic remarks about other
races, without causing any major offensive?
I think, or at least hope, that we will.
The basic origins of comedy tends to rely on us, the audience, laughing at someone else’s expense
and are relieved for the joke to not be on us, but someone else. The key thing to note here is that
the joke could well be on us, but isn't; although it is possible.
I am white and never ever will be naturally black. So to laugh at black people’s expense would be
in full knowledge that it would only happen to a black person, not me.
This parallels with sexism. I am a man and will never naturally be a woman, but yet I can laugh at
ironical sexist jokes nowadays.
This is where I start to question weather we will begin to make jokes at other races. Although the
word racism suggests general hatred towards people who are simply of a particular race, and
therefore I wouldn’t think that ‘racist jokes’, as we know them to be at this present time,
would ever be considered a good thing. |

Any type of racism is wrong whether a joke or a killing for the jokes promote racism and you never
know what that 1 nut you encouraged might do. I also think this applies to ageism, sexism, and all
other discrimination. |

There is nothing funny about jokes that point humor towards various races. That's why we are still
so separated today. |

I think that racist jokes are of poor taste. You mean to tell me that there are no other things to
laugh at then someones race?! And don't tell me that if you laugh at them, then that means you have
a sense of humor. That's a falsehood, only people who have nothing better to do, laugh at other
people's backgrounds, customs, and general way of doing things.
I find racist joke to be senseless, and annoying. And they can breed into a lot of other things that
are not healthy, like racial hatred. The kkk crack racist jokes too, are they funny?! Would you
laugh at them?! So what is the difference when a stand up comedian does it?! Very poor taste. |

Not Cool. I can see if it's funny like a white guy trying to act all gangster, You can be all,
"Haha, Faker" if it's all in good fun
But don't spring the N-word or belittle people by their race which they can't control. That's just
low. |

I guess it's a matter of taste what you find funny but generally I don't think racism isn't funny as
it spawns from ignorance and I find ignorance extremely tedious. |
