Do you guy's think these days black people are more racist towards Whites, than vise-versa.? Let me know (yes or no) and what do you think?

I agree because a black person can do anything to a white person, but when it's vice-versa, the white person is charged with a hate-crime.

I would not go so far as to accuse ALL of being this way, but there is a shared ideology that demonizes "white" people in our inner cities. In fact, it has become an accepted trend to discriminate against European-Americans.

Many in the entertainment business use that license to spread hate. However, European-American comedians or entertainers cannot say anything about anyone of another race or ethnic group without a "witch-hunt" taking place.

I would rather no sucker punches concerning anyone's race or ethnic group take place at all.

I don't want to agree with this post, but I have to be on this side of the debate. I have witnessed it first hand and have myself been the target of such hate for no other reason but for the color of my skin.

In general black people are racist against whites. For example, in majority black counties, particularly in the South, a white person seeking a job or seeking a promotion in a job will most likely lose out to a black person of equal or lesser abilities. I am white, and used to date a black girl, when I'd hang out with her and her friends, I would be appalled at some of the things they'd say about white people. The same stuff that if a white person said then it would be denounced as 'politically incorrect.' Not only are blacks generally prejudiced against whites (it's important to say generally as a small percentage of blacks are not racist) but they are prejudiced against other blacks. For example, in Africa, blacks of one tribe routinely kill blacks from other tribes. It's going on now in Darfur, Sudan. And 15 years ago, in Rwanda over a million Hutus and Tutsis massacred each other due to tribal 'racism'.

I agree. I believe many black people are still holding grudges from the slave era. They treat white people like dirt. Like they can't be trusted and like they are doing wrong. They give attitude before they even receive it. I think this is a disgrace. Martin Luther wanted equal rights, he got them, we are a integrated country. Why can't everyone put the past behind us and treat one another like family?

I think its easier to come across a black person being racist towards white people than it is a white person being racist towards black people. This is because as soon as a white person say any thing about a black person (racist or not) the non white person plays the race card. So every one is on high alert so to speak. However black people think its OK to be racist t white people because of what our ancestors did to theirs. My uncle was murdered by a black woman, i don't hate black people for what she did, i don't hate her for what she did . I just hate racists.

Interesting. I would guess that whatever color you are (out of these two), the other color is the more racist one.

Having said that, generalizations about any group are usually wrong, because they are usually made by some other group.

Unless you're a comedian, then it's wise to criticize your own race for credibility's sake so you can criticize others.

I disagree because Black people have been through so much stuff with white people and I just think that some Black people get a little upset because a lot of white people have it so easy in US. As a Black student teachers assume, when they see me in honors, that I cheated to get there. When it's mostly the white students in the class that do the cheating. Ya feel me?

People can be racist no matter what color they are.
People are categorize prejudged and discriminated against for all sorts of reasons.
Basically it is ignorance. A bit like this debate.

I've never hated someone because of their race. I sorry you feel that feel that way honestly. Everyone is capable of much better.

I've just learnt something very important, in this modern age some people are incapable of seeing past race. I'm targeting everyone when i say this. Everyone needs to stop putting up their shields and swords. Until EVERYONE can fully do that. We may never end the turmoil...

No, I just think that some blacks, not all, or even a lot, but some blacks, are....... Defensive of their race. Because, they were treated very inhumanely for so long, I guess its reflexive.

Some blacks like Denzel Washington, or Queen Latifa, DEFINE THEIR OWN STATUS in life, by their very confident way......

DEMAND respect. Aretha Franklin style ;-)

Really cause I've never seen a pic of a group of African Americans hanging a white people. I also have never seen Africans forcing whites into slavery. Before anyone says my attitude proves the point it doesn't I wish I was white would definitely prefer it.

Your statement is too broad. Do you mean in certain neighborhoods, in certain parts of the world or what? I do feel black people have a tendency to be more racist up front. But on the other hand white people are still racists if not more so than ever before, they just aren't as up front depending on where you go or where your at!

No not really just towards whites because we are racist equal to them but they are more racist toward there own color like people that are a lighter brown wont talk to people that are darker so i think they are racist more against their own color then they are against whites
you don't see them forming a kkk do ya?

This is pure generalization. Nothing against whites but the entire concept of racism is wrong in itself and just the mention of this sick phenomenon is enough to plant the seed of hatred and animosity between races of different types. Specially in the case of blacks and whites, it is a very sensitive issue stemming directly from the issue of slavery and then abolition of slavery, not to mention the problems that the white race faced in accepting the black race as equals after living for centuries as superiors to the blacks. Those feelings of superiority and even inferiority (on behalf of blacks) still exist somewhere.

Why would you refer to him as martin luther? Martin luther started the lutheran church and was a radical reformer. Your ignorant demo.
Martin luther as opposed to martin king? Why even reference him? Why do white people think they can just call on martin luther king and feel like they have their own personal black friend for any argument. Like they can wag their finger at black people in this "can't you be more like that negro?" kind of way.
Both races are equally capable of being racist. Both races have done despicable things. Hold people accountable don't hold a grudge toward any specific race.
We've both done lots to help each other. Barack obama will be such a great president god willing. And I'm a white atheistic sort of dude. But seriously...
Black people do have a right to reflect their history. You have just as much right to be mad at a black person for being overtly proud for overcoming the handicap of their ancestor's being enslaved as you do to be mad at a black person for being racist.
It just means in either case that your a racist and probably isolated in the types of people you hang out with or are friends with or tend to converse with.
All the same, when you see black people balance this ancestral history with a daily output of positivity and sensitivity for the reconciling white man truly sorry for the past but past it all the same... It touches you in a place that reminds you humanity is humanity. Hate will always be there. That doesn't mean you have to hate it. ;)

I think that both sides are equally racist and I hate those people who say that it EASIER to come across a black person being racist. And I think you are just thinking that black people are maybe rude to some whites or make racial comments but they are not racist. I'm like the only black person at my school and I have white friends all over and they make racial comments towards me all the time but I don't care. And one more thing to nelson12, some of us use intimidation? How do you know what kontar1 feels about whites? This is such a foolish debate topic and I am even ashamed of wasting my time with this but I guess people just need to understand.

that's false and you know it's false you feel that white's owe you. Some of you use intimidation and treat whites like trash when they probably aren't racist and have nothing to do with what their ancestor's did.

That is a lie...first of all i admit we may be a little more hostile towards whites but why shouldn't we be they still treat us like we are in slavery which was abolished 200 years ago.

It's not something you can generalize about. Certainly there are a lot of black racists out there who pretend to speak for the entire black population, but I don't think the general population is any more or less racist today than they ever have been.
