From all that I see in the media race has everything to do with this election. If Obama loses, the
entire country will be labeled as racist. People fear that quite a bit.
This election race is the only tangible thing Obama has going for him. How sad. |

I think that the racism part of this election will effect the number of votes Obama gets, but I
don't think it will keep him from winning.
In a New York Times article that was published about a month ago, a reporter described a scene that
was very interesting. Obama was walking down a path talking to supporters, and there were a couple
of men wearing baseball caps and holding a large sign. The sign read: "Rednecks for Obama." One of
the men said quote: "We fish, hunt, drink beer and support Obama." This is interesting because the
insinuation about rednecks is that they are all racist.
I don't know if these three "rednecks" mirror the majority of the separate culture, but it is
interesting. |
