R & B Has Been Watered Down So That Non-singing Folks Can Feel Better About Their Lack Of Talent
This is but one theory I have on this subject. What, so now Pop is the new R & B and Britney Spears can now compete with the likes of Whitney Houston, and Justin Timberlake can compete with the likes of Luther Vandross? Ha! Laughable. People want to feel like they can "sing along" to a song. Easier to do if the original performer can barely sing too.
