Quantum Theory Provides The Best Scientific Evidence For God
The Christians continually make themselves look ridiculous by disputing the theory of evolution. But the truth is that the best scientific evidence for God comes not from biology, but from a sub-branch of physics\chemistry called quantum mechanics. Experimental results in this area defy our common sense understanding of the universe. Particles have been shown to behave differently depending on whether or not they are being observed, for example. Some of these results could be interpreted as meaning that what we previously considered absolute rules of the universe are, in fact, arbitrary artificial constructs imposed by "a Creator".

Wow! Hidell got one almost right. Christians don't talk about it because in the end, we have our faith. We're not looking for something to put our faith in.

I agree with you that Quantam Physics are incredible scientific proof of God. By the way God & Allah are the same guy. The religions are different. Jews believe in the same God as well.

So, you must have recently watched "What the bleep do we know?"

This is how I think of it. Let's say we let a chicken egg hatch in a specially-constructed cage. The chicken emerges. It cannot see us. It is alone. The cage, the artificial construct we have created, is the only world it knows. It will live its entire life here. Let's say we put a button somewhere in the cage and, whenever the chicken presses it, a pellet of food drops out from the top of the cage.

The chicken comes to regard the relation between the pressing of the button and a pellet of food dropping down as one of the fundamental laws of its universe. To the chicken, it is like the sun rising every morning and setting every night. Then one day, let's say we decide not to fill up the food pellet machine any more. The chicken is distraught. What it thought of as a fundamental law of the universe is revealed to be nothing more than an arbitrary artificial relation imposed by a higher power. This is how I regard some of the experimental results in quantum theory.

In my adult life, this has been one of the few things to make me take seriously the possible existence of a "creator". Note that even this creator-centred interpretation of the experimental results wouldn't necessarily indicate anything about the nature of this creator. It would, presumably, just be as powerful a proof of Allah as it would of the Christian God. Or it could be interpreted in other ways.

For example, to me it appears to validate Nick Bostrom's Simulation Argument - the view that the world we live in is a simulation. In this case, the "creator" could be nothing but a human being living probably several centuries from now running our world as a simulation on his computer.

Quantum theory is hard to understand so I suppose this is why the Christians don't talk about it.

Hidell, why do you have such malice towards Christians but not followers of other religions?

The results of Quantum mechanical experimentation suggest that there is much more to consciousness than a simple biochemical reaction providing an illusion of choice. A wise person once said to me, “I believe in the richness and mystery of the universe, and I don’t believe in the supernatural.” There is obviously so much we don’t understand, even at this time penultimate time in human understanding we barely are beginning to grasp the outline of what has happened right here in our own neighborhood. I would be amazed if we actually understood one percent of one percent of the true nature of the universe. I’m too much of a scientist to deny the possibility of the divine. But I am also too much of a scientist to accept a hypothesis without a more compelling reason that my need to fill in the blanks.

I would say Cosmology. The science can be divided into essentially metaphysical questions about space and time and then observational issues about the content and structure of the universe.

As usual, Hidell presents the arguments as if the word "christian" represents one thing. It should represent one thing, but it doesn't.

I have to say Hidell has just proved miracles do occur. I didn't think it possible for Hidell to reason.

I think all areas of study provide equal proof of a creator. However, DNA and quantum physics are 2 areas that even non-believers can begin to see possibilities.

"Particles have been shown to behave differently depending on whether or not they are being observed," Please explain as aren't all particles being observed when ever i look at something. I may not be able to focus on them but i still am observing them.

lol...that's true...if we are not observing them, how do we know what they are doing?
