What your calling professionalism sounds to me more like personal presentation, which I’ll be
honest with you I never gave a hoot about. What I think of as professionalism is more about how well
and how hard you work, and that I can say may be under assault but is far from dead in the U.S. (I
wasn’t sure what you meant by ‘this country’ so I talked about the one I was most familiar
with.) |

Our economy right now is struggling/falling behind others (you are right), but this
"professionalism" does not make a difference on an economic scale. The "competitive advantage"
financial based society that caused this to happen. There is much rhetoric about what the average
person "thinks" he/she knows. Nobody is fighting anymore in what we believe will make our country
stronger and they make assumptions on biased believes and political opinionated media. Everybody
wants to be a critic and complain but nobody steps up to the plate (if you didn't realize we are 1
if not the MOST powerful country in the world this will happen)
Be careful of your arguments towards companies going out of business. Your stating correlation
proves causation. (Example: The average income of somebody that owns a Caddilac is higher then other
persons, but if i gave somebody a Cadillac does not mean that their income will rise.)
The thing about our society is you get from it what u work for. Yeah an average person can get a
decent job and do nothing. But those who have the ambition will rise above the rest. Ask Donald
Trump to compare his professional dress to that of Bill Gates (who knocked door to door asking for
money to invest)...I believe you will find a these 2 men (2 "mile stone of ambition workers") quit
different from each other. |
