| Private Schools Should Be Banned. |
| Why should children who just happened to be born of rich parents have access to a higher quality of education? I believe that all children should have the chance to access a high quality of education, based on their ability and willingness to learn, and not on their parents wealth |

Bad, bad bad idea. That would be mixing people who actually want to learn something with others who
hate school and wreck it for everyone else. |

The idea that any school should be banned is terrible. Education needs to be vastly improved,
however. The idea of resenting families who can afford a better education for their kids also seems
backwards. It's the type of mentality that starts and widens social divides. In other words, poor
and rich kids are destined to never get along because it is easy to stereotype private schools as
one way and public schools as another way.
Unfortunately, you can't outlaw being a jerk. Money doesn't buy happiness, education doesn't
determine your future. It's all in how your raised, and the type of person you are. School has very
little to do with anything. Except for a few lines on commercials trying to get your money. Where do
you think they went to school? |

Some kids need smaller classes to get more help/attention. |

No they shouldn't.
As we speak I got to a Private school.
The only reason why I go there is because I am a Christian, and it is a Christian school. There are
hardly any differences except that we have an extra class, and we have to wear uniforms which are
fine. They are expensive but it is totally worth it. |

It is often said that private schools are solely meant for children coming from middle or elite
classes, not the poor. But as a matter of fact, a considerable count of seats is reserved in the
private schools for the poor who are provided at a reduced cost or sometimes for free. As the
admission process is quite competitive in private schools the bunch of children studying there are
the best of the lot. The private schools are run by independent funding which give them the
independence to design the activities and curriculum without any budget constraint. Generally there
are limited students in each class and each student get individual attention. The parents are taking
special interest in sending their children to the private schools. We should also welcome these
schools to fulfill the need of exceptional quality education and a qualified dynamic future
generation. |

I believe that such a proposition is insanity and unfeasible. Firstly, private schools reduce the
student body of public schools, therefore allowing more attention for those who do not attend
private schools. Furthermore, for those who can afford private school, it is a chance to accelerate
learning and also serves as another school for them to go to should they not desire to continue
further education at a public school. I understand the viewpoint and arguments which may be argued
for this case and banning private schools, yet I believe that banning private schools would be
confining education to only one source, therefore limiting students with a higher capacity for
learning who wish to pursue a elevated level of schooling. |

Instead of banning private schools, it would be better to aim for public schools to be of such a
quality that parents don't want to send their children to private schools. If public provision falls
short, as it so often does in many different spheres, it would be wrong to force parents to suppress
their child's potential because of some misguided notion of equality.
You might as well argue that exceptionally intelligent children should be partially lobotomised to
bring them down to the intellectual level of others, because it's unfair that they should have a
genetic advantage over them. |

I went to a state and a public school, and my public school was better by far. Every one has the
right to an education, and if you can afford it, it should be your choice weather you spend money on
a good school or take a free education in over crowded state school.(public school is the one you
pay for) |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
Why? Is it wrong to be rich to be able to afford expensive things? If you can not be born in a rich
family, you can work hard to make your kids born in a rich family. |

They shouldn't be banned, but they most certainly should be held to certain standards and minimums
in curriculum. It doesn't make sense for them to be able to teach whatever nonsense they feel like
just because they can get away with it. |

It should be up to individual families how they school. If a family has the means and the desire to
send their kids to private school, so be it. It's not such a different concept, for this debate,
than home school. A family doesn't have to be well off to school at home, and should have the option
of doing so. The quality of education in many public schools is equal to or higher than that of
private schools. |

No. The difference between a private school and a public school is where they get their funding.
Public schools get their funding from the tax payers of the state they live in and a private schools
gains money from the tuition the student's families pay. The only reason most public schools are
considered at a lower education rate is because a lot of the time they cant get enough money for
various reasons involving taxes, while private schools get a steady flow of money every semester or
year. It all about where they get their money, how mush they get. And how often they get it. People
didn't just one day decide that poor kids should go to a separate than rich kids |
