Princess Diane Was Not As Great Of A Person As People Saw Her To Be.
Yes, while she was not bad she didn't do any great deed. She spent her money which was no sacrifice seeing as she had plenty of it. Mother Terese who lived during Dian did a lot better for the world.

She was completely over-rated. Its amazing how people praise celebrity in such a manner. People look at her as great compared to this worthless royal family which in my opinion is a wasted comparison. Lets compare her to the Martin Luther Kings and Gandhis to see true world impact within a given country or the world from people who faced great odds and needed very little to start a movement and to help those who had very little. Take away the financial access she got from being in the royal family and she would have did nothing, and if she did, nobody would have noticed.

The same day Diana died there was another story in the paper, 4 children died in a house fire. That was much sadder story. I could not understand why so many people who didn't even know Dianna were out on the streets sobbing.

I felt sorry for her during her life, she was a fish out of water in the royal family and was obviously crumbling under the pressure. As would most of us. She deliberately set about raising her profile as "The Queen of Hearts". It was all a blatant attempt to boost her profile and it worked.

Diana was an overrated member of the Royal Family. Personally i feel that she did nothing much to help Britain or the people. Yes she shook hands with someone who has aids so what why is that such a big deal i would. The Queen has done a lot more for this country. I still fail to understand why the whole country was emotionally 'broken' after the death of Diana i am sure if any other person who did what she did in her life and died young the whole country would not be crying and going to their funeral.

We mythologise those who die young, especially if they happened to be physically attractive. They live in our imaginations, immune from the normal processes of aging and decay that everyone else goes through.

Diana was nothing special. She was exceptionally stupid. She couldn't even pass basic school exams. There was nothing impressive or distinctive about her in any way other than her physical attractiveness, which wasn't really all that great either. She wasn't as beautiful as most top models, for example. Her face was marred by a big nose, which she implictly acknowledged herself when she got a nose job in her later years.

I seriously doubt that she spent any of her money to help anyone. All she did was visit hospitals and so forth. Even these visits, though they may seem noble, were really just part of a public relations war that she was waging against her husband and the royal family generally. It's clear that she was really quite a scheming person. Some people have called her "Bitchess Diana" and I can see their motivation.

With all the stories we've heard since she died about how many lovers she had, it's clear she was a total trollop. While I've nothing against women maintaining an active sexual life, you'd think that someone in such a public position, in a family which depends on the clarity and legitimacy of its bloodline for the place it has in the world, and its ability to go on earning a living in the way it does, if nothing else, that she would have shown a greater sense of decorum and been able to restrain whatever wild impulses she felt.

The outpouring of sentimentality when she died was staggering. You could not escape it in Britain. It's sad to say that she just wasn't deserving of the publics affection for her, but it's true. Neither was Mother Theresa, but that's another debate.

Firstly, her name was not, "Diane", as you stated, but it was, "Diana".
Diana Spencer.

Secondly, she was black-balled by the British aristocracy and a hit put out on her by the English throne, some say the Philip, husband to Elizabeth 2.
She was preggo with a dude's baby from a middle-eastern ethnicity: Didn't go over well at all with the brits to have the royals co-related to mixed-blood.

Plus, Diana spoke out against land-mines: Everyone who did that were all bumped off by the powers that be.

Diana was a brave and caring soul. May she rest in peace. She was a great mother: Cannot best that.

There is no doubt that Princess Di had served humanity for years before her death. The fact that she was famous before and after her death and her death had attracted more attention that other losses around the world at that time, it doesnt mean anything other than the fact that media is very powerful. Ironically that's the reason her life was taken. Thank you

I think that she did far greater things than anyone anyone else in the royal family... Like she shook hands with someone with aids 10 years before the queen and also brought an element of reality into the way people think of the monarchy.
