Police Should Check More People For Auto Insurance.
They pass a law in most states in the US that states car insurance is mandatory. However, there are many people who drive without it and will not get caught. The only time a cop checks for your insurance is if you are doing something else wrong on the road. It is not fair for the honest people who do pay for car insurance every month. Police need to do more random stops to check for car insurance and then deal with those who don't carry it. If it is going to be a law, they should enforce it.

Do cops have the discipline to be random? It wouldn't surprise me that most of the people they randomly pull over are minority groups.

Do you know how time consuming practicing this would be? Plice nor people have the time to be stopped and asked for their insurance. I know people without insurance and they drive safer knowing they can't afford car insurance. I know it isn't always their fault or they didn't mean it (hence the name accident) but it would be a waste of time for the law to be enforced except when needed.

 Driving without insurance is very irresponsible and it should be punish. Who cares if the person drives safely, the fact that they drive without insurance proves how irresponsable they really are.
