| "Planned Obsolescence" Should Be Avoided |
| Planned Obsolescence is when a product or equipment is designed to break within a certain window of time to ensure the buyer will have to come back to the vendor either to buy a replacement part or completely replace the whole unit. What a terrible waste for society. And I see it all the time - especially plastic pieces such as little gears which clearly needed to be metal in order to last. You can pick carefully to avoid them yet sometimes every product you compare has so much plastic junk you know you'll be ripped off. |

The world economy has depended on being a growth economy for a long time. I think we will eventually
have to learn how to maintain a sustainable economy. I would think that would entail a moving away
from that disposable everything mentality that much of the modern world has had for sometime. |

Planned Obsolescence is dishonesty against the basic nature of Man to do and be the best you are
capable of to reach your own highest potential on this planet from your own efforts:
Planned Obsolescence, dumbs down Man's pride in his productivity and ability to make products that
LAST and PERFORM at maximum capacity for as long as possible.
Therefore, planned obsolescence is dishonesty. |
