Yes and people should stop slaughtering cats, dogs, elephants, fish, monkeys, snakes, and basically
every other living thing. Then again there's what we should do and what people will actually do. Do
you think the guy slaughtering the horses is reading your post and even if he/she was do you think
it would stop them if they are making money off it? In my opinion we should let the earth regrow
while we slaughter each other as the earths human population is to big as it is. Money is the main
controlling factor here. Elephants have ivory which people want and which poachers will kill
elephants for. The only way that will stop is if the entire body of the elephant becomes worthless
and there are no trophy poachers who just want a elephant head. |

The only reasons you have for killing a horse is if you are going to eat it, or if it is in
horrible, horrible pain.
And , the only way you should kill it is shooting it in the head so that it doesn't hurt it for as
long. |

Definitely, although i also agree that if a horse is injured and in bad pain with little hope of
life then it should however be put to sleep and not shot, shooting is a crueler option than putting
a horse to sleep, muin13, umm yes horses should not be slaughtered it is indeed Sacrilege. |

horses instead are mistreated or turned loose. |

edible... Horse lovers are a strange people... Though while i empathize with animal rights
activists, i don't see the significance let alone understand the emphatic drive of horse
enthusiasts... Slaughter no animals sure, until that day... I wanna try some cheese on my Filly

I live in Nevada, the state with the most number of wild horses, or mustangs.
Mustangs are an invasive alien, because their ancestors escaped just 150 years ago. The horses’
foraging has a detrimental impact on native plants and cuts into the food supply of native
animals.
Mustangs are protected by federal law, but that has become a headache for the Bureau of Land
Management, which administers them. Mustangs breed like flies, and they can starve if there are too
many in one area. So BLM periodically impounds them. You can adopt a young mustang, but the unruly
young ones and too-old or sick ones just languish in pens.
BLM got into hot water when it was revealed that a mustang buyer had sold them for dog food. This
resulted in a ban on sales to slaughterhouses.
But it’s costing taxpayers millions to impound the mustangs, so continue slaughtering them. |

Unfortunately, unless you are personally willing to purchase the horse, then arrange to feed it,
shelter it, and after it dies, arrange to bury it, your opinion of what people do with their animals
is unfortunately a moot point. Horses are seen as property, and unless we change laws, will
continue to be seen as property. As you are not in any way bearing the economic burden of providing
for the injured animal, and are probably unwilling to do so, your opinion sadly does not matter. I
don't like seeing horses get shot, but until we change the law, or are willing to take care of the
horses ourselves at our own expense, our opinions do not matter. |

In France horse meat is eaten , so they are like cattle or sheep. Or if the horse is injured and can
not be healed its better to shoot it that let it live in pain. |
