Arman1013; I liked the fact that you asserted that "one of the biggest religions happens to be a
combination of atheist, agnostic, scientific-people, etc. " I would agree that in the broad sense,
naturalism i.e scientific naturalism i.e.methodological scientism, i.e materialism, i.e physicalism
are all philosophies/worldviews just as any other religion is. That what makes a good argument
about religion so much fun and, at many times, a good learning tool. When a "good" argument turns
bad, with shouting, name calling, etc. Then that's a different category. |

Religion is one of the few subjects other than sports, that raises such passion in people. And since
I know nothing about sports other than how to play them I couldn't bear to not have religion around
to stir things up, even if it does get a bit farkakte sometimes. |

Religion is a belief system, there will always be more than one belief system, so there will always
be arguments over religion. It's kind of pointless to say they should stop, they won't. And I
don't see any problem with "arguing" over it anyway. My problem is when they start killing over it,
or start to constrict human rights or freedom of thought or expression over it. Change the title to
say "killing" instead and I'll salute it. |
