| People Should Pay More Attention To Their OWN Lives Instead Of Celebrity Drama |
| In other words, all of the fan fiction bull basically needs to stop. People should grow up and pay a little more attention to their own reality instead of whether or not Britney can see her kids or if so-and-so is having an affair. |

It's their personal lives, and is none of our business. |

Why do we need a shot of Paris Hilton drinking an iced cappuccino while exiting a nail salon with
shopping bags in one hand and smoking a cigarette in the other hand? When did this become
entertaining? |

People who care so much about celebrity's personal lives, should get lives themselves. |

What is so special about celebrities? It sickens me to see all of these people become obsessed with
something as trivial as these people. Oooo, they're wearing this scarf, oooo, they just crashed
their car. It's all very stupid nonsense. |

Fan fiction? What do you mean? Maybe I'm not up to date with what the term means, but last I heard,
fan fiction was when a fan wrote their own take on a plotline of a book they liked.
Maybe I'm just old-fashioned.
But yes, I agree, people need to worry more about their own lives and let celebrities worry about
theirs. |

Entertainment is one such thing with which people are used to nowadays. They can not even grab a
bite in the morning unless they have read a proper Celebrity Drama or a gossip in the newspaper.
Whether some celebrity is separating from her so long boyfriend or girlfriend, whether someone is
going to have a new affair, whether some celebrity is expecting a child or not, these are the basic
things in a Celebrity Drama. People are giving more attention to these because they enjoy all these.
But people should keep this thing in mind that they should also concentrate on their own respective
work and they should not waste time on such a thing which is actually having no productive value. It
is just hot news for today and useless news for tomorrow. All should remember this and give more
attention in their own lives. |

It's really sad that celebrity gossip has taken over our regular news as well. Certainly there are
events happening in the world as well as in our own homes that impact our lives far more than
whether or not whatever star is in treatment this week. Avoiding gossip outlets is like walking
through a minefield. |

I agree. It's ridiculous how much focus there is on celebrities. At the end of the day, they're just
normal people like us yet their actions get broadcast as though they are a different species!
They're only human, so I cannot understand why we have to keep hearing about their actions.
I don't think there's a solution to this though, because even if we did want to pay more attention
to our own lives, we're still going to keep on hearing about the antics of celebrities, even if we
don't want to, because they're everywhere.
We see them everyday on the news, magazines and Internet so they'll always be in our faces and hyped
up, which is why some people choose to focus on them rather than their own lives.
Perhaps, in some way, people choose to focus on the lives of celebrities to escape their own
problems.
We see celebrities having affairs, losing their children, getting married, getting divorced etc and
it could be that people enjoy reading about these things because it shows that celebrities aren't
perfect. |

Now I would like to get some things strait I completely agree with the topic question but the
numbers on it are likely quite off I think that the people that do take care in knowing what's going
on in celebrities lives will likely not find the time or will to find the site and argue the
opposition |

This debate is very timely, in light of the fact that tens of millions of people will be glued to
their television screens tonight, watching the Oscars, while quality and tabloid papers alike will
spend the coming days dissecting what actors and actresses wore as they walked down the red carpet.
People who salivate each and every time that an overrated actor or actress makes the headlines for
frivolous and foolish behaviour need to get a grip and concentrate on their own lives instead.
Since we live in a capital driven society, perhaps someone should point out to them that if they
spent a little less energy over-analyzing actors of very limited talent, they may just have a bit
more time to make a go for that promotion at work. They would also save the circa $2.99 that it
costs to buy most US tabloid papers each week, which would lead to over $155 in savings a year--that
might just be enough for a nice weekend getaway. |

I so agree with this, it's ridiculous how obsessed some people are. |

If people really are interested in Britney flashing her cootch, or Celebrity cellulite, then i think
perhaps they need to get out a bit more.
That or get a job lol |
