People Should Hunt More!
I think that people should hunt more because it will keep the population of animals down. And anyways who doesn't like freshly killed elk for dinner?? You don't just hunt for fun you do it to put food on the table!

Hunting is a practice that has been around for many years. Asherred said "Besides, think about it, if we want to help the population in the world why not just kill people."- I agree with you, but as a counter-point notice that we are much more populated than the others because of the fact that no one has hunted us. Now we run rampant destroying the earth (a whole other matter) because of our ever expanding population. In light of this fact hunting is something that must be done to control population. It is a necessity, plain and simple. If we didn't then humans would be overrun and life as we know it would be altered. Also, if someone wants a moose burger you cant just roll on over to McD's and grab one. (just a side note moose meat has very little fat content, which is always welcome to our junky eating habits) So to get that moose burger you would have to go and shoot one, take it to the butcher and get it cut. Finally, the aspect that people find cruel about hunting is the fact that an animal dies, just remember that the beef burger grilling on your BBQ came from a cow that was once alive and then was killed. So what if hunters have to go out to the woods to get their prey instead of waiting for the next cow to come plodding in to the butchers station to be slaughtered?

I agree for hunting but not for unnecessary killing or for trophy. If you hunt eat if you don't eat it don't hunt it.. Real simple

In my opinion that people who hunt help in maintain the balance and cycle of life. Imagine a world where animals multiply by the minutes and they are not hunted. Eskimos need warmth and hunting is their only means of survival and I feel if one has to hunt to survive it is a good thing to hunt People who hunt help mankind to get supply of meat which is high in nutrients and proteins, helping man to eat healthy, fresh food. Animal hide too warms the body so we need to hunt to acquire beneficial products got from animals. In poorer nations, a meal of good meat can fill a stomach for hours so why not hunt, if it helps man and also control the population of animals. Thus to stay healthy we need meat and hunting will help man maintain the population of animals.

i disagree, elk and deer are hunted naturally by wolves. it would be the circle of life for humans not to interfere. all of the world problems are because of human interference, global warming, the dust bowl, extinction, no buffalo, all of the natural disasters

Elk is a good dinner and fills you up and you don't just hunt for the pleasure of it anyway! You hunt what you need and then go home, its not a race to sea who can get the most elk in a day and then make the population go down. I think that everyone who votes against it is weird!

I agree with damian. The reason we hunt is to keep animal populations from getting to the point that they eat all their food and die away. We need to put up a law for hunting humans to knock a few billion off the world.

Seriously, sure people started to hunt for survival but now we're killing for fun. Besides, think about it, if we want to help the population in the world why not just kill people. They're more overpopulating than wolves. I've lived in Idaho all my life and I've seen very little deer or elk

Do you live in down town Pocatello or something, you have to go out to the woods. They're all over out there. As far as the huntings humans thing I think "THE" on the other side had dibs on the 1st back target and your can be second.

I reckon we don't have a high enough population of some animals because we are hunting them down too much.
Even if hunting can be for food, a lot of hunting is done just for fun.
How can this be the 'right' thing to do??

I think there's a pretty clear vision of hunters as people that don't think outside the box... In fact i think that idea is usually compounded with hunters being proud of their "narrow-mindedness"... But no section of people can be pigeon-holed like this though such hunters surely exist... Now who would hunt humans? There is of course only one answer: Other humans... This seems pretty clear as to whether or not it should be allowed, but it happens anyway...
Its very much why there is so much passion on the topic of gun control... Hunting, domestic abuse, war, gun crime, gang violence, self defense, and apparently animal population all play parts in what your talking about when your talking about gun control...
But everybody needs to be heard on this, you can't just think hunters are mindless animal-killers anymore than you can think middle eastern people are suicidal religious nuts... Its all balanced conversation and there's just too many elements... Truth is hunting is timeless and it isn't going anywhere... Guns are not the only way to kill people, and your not killing anybody so don't worry if other people do...
Death turns heads.

Firstly,
my opinion is that hunting for pleasure is wrong.
Secondly,
people don't need to hunt more because that's animal cruelty and humans don't deserve to kill them and in some religions if you kill an animal, you get turned into a goat or slug or ant(only in religions) so do you want to turn into a goat getting slaughtered?
And the animal population shouldn't be controlled by humans. There was a thing placed in nature to handle that...its called a food web or food chain.

What happens when a superior species takes over, and maybe we become the hunted... Not so much fun anymore is it! No weapons can protect us or anything, we are like sitting ducks.... So whatever creature is hunting us... We are like cows/deer whatever.... I guarantee it wouldn't be cool to hunt anymore.

To each person, I commend his or her own right..to do his/her own thing, and if hunting is it?..so be it..but I do not agree with the word MORE?..People should hunt more?..I have never hunted a thing in my life except maybe for a good sale somewhere, and i don't feel Individuals be taken away their right to hunt..if that is what rocks their boat, but to hunt more?..I don't know..How much meat can you eat?..For me?..I could never kill something, and then take a fork full of it into my mouth..sorry, ..Oh, and debating can be done without insults. Another persons opinion doesn't mean it's a bad thing..It's just an opinion..When you become insulting, you show your lack of maturity, and it causes people to question your intelligence. Maybe you didn't realize this..or care..

For most animal species, in most parts of the world, overpopulation isn't a problem. Indeed, the opposite is usually true. Some people who call themselves hunters, like Dick Cheney, are really just sick sadistic psychopaths. I suppose it's good that they take out their psychopathology on animals instead of other humans. Nevertheless, it would be better if they didn't do it at all.

History shows that, as hunter-gatherers, humans remained primitive. It was only when they learned farming techniques that civilization developed.

I don't like elk, and I don't think you should hunt just to hunt all the time, every now and then, but just to keep the population of animals down, I don't think so.

Whats wrong with a high population of animals?

I think that instead we should hunt down a few thousand humans. After all - the world is overcrowded.

Blood sport is disgusting.
