| People Should Get There Drivers License At The Age Of 15 Or 16. Not 18 |
| Kids always want to go out with their friends or loved ones on Saturday nights. I sure take my girl out every Saturday. We always go see a movie and then go some where for dinner. We are always asking our parents to take us places and they are always tired of taking us places a lot |

Haha, too bad you don't live in Canada. 16 for your learners permit and a year later you take a test
to qualify for your license. |

No it should be 24.
It would cut down on the amount of cars on the road. And most accidents are caused by ppl under the
age of 24. |

Yes...many teenagers my age that i know personally get their license to be of some help. For example
my mother has three kids and with my licence i can take myself to dance practice and she can take my
brother when we both have to be there at five thirty instead of making one of us late. I can drive
myself to school instead of having to catch the bus and i could run errands for my mother the list
just goes on and on and at 18 you are free so you need gradual freedoms to help you transition not
be on lockdown and all of a sudden be free that causes people to go wild and act like kids in a
candy store. Furthermore that's why the permit was invented try that first before a license... |

I'm 17 and all of my friends are talking about driving.
Personally, I'm very scared to take up such responsibility.
I think we should learn how to drive from the age of 16 (maybe) and get the licence when we're
18.
I really don't trust 16 year old Americans with cars. A tad to young. |

In my state the age is 16, and it's not a good thing. The highest group of collisions and deaths are
in the 16-19 age group, so if anything, it should be 18. |

Kids are not financially or legally responsible for their actions, hence there is no reason
whatsoever to allow them to perform adult actions. I don't really have much of a problem with kids
continuing to drive at age 16, but if they show they are irresponsible, such as getting into an
accident or drinking and driving, etc. Their license should be pulled until at least 18. |

A car is not a game or easy thing. You would counter unanticipated situations. Under 18 age person
couldn't decide what have to do in accidents. |

Well fireball, we wish all teens are responsible like you, but the truth of the matter is that The
statistics of teens that kill each other every year is high and you can quote me on that issue ,
it's iron clad proof you can't say it's older people too it's not do your homework and you will see
buddy sorry but until there's something that can be done to bring those number's down. I don't see
congress budging on this issue. |

To me a car is as if not more dangerous than a gun. You have to wait until your 18 to get a gun, I
would say it should go for driving a car as well. |
