People Should Be More Tolerant To Tardiness.
It's okay, it's not that serious, so what if I'm late all of the time, a person should take their time getting ready and looking appropriate., people should understand this.

I agree. Or come pick the person up or meet them somewhere to limit the likelihood of them being late.

But what if I want to set the pace of the evening or I'm disorganized, shouldn't I be given certain considerations?

Being late is the worst. If it is you that is late, than you look like an idiot, walking in somewhere after something has already started or you were expected. I grew up dealing with a late mom. She was NEVER on time. I would be the last kid standing there and think she had forgotten me, it sucks. It is serious to the person you are late for even if it isn't to you. It shows exactly how much you do not care about someone. You didn't take the time to schedule it in and make extra time for anything holding you up and that tells someone they mean nothing.

Tardiness is a sign of disrespect!!! If you are THAT much into yourself then you need to wake up earlier to attempt to make yourself look better!!! But nobody else cares about how you look, so i don't know why you even try.

To be consistently late shows an incredible lack of respect for others. If you say you're going to be somewhere at a certain time, then you owe it to people to be there at that time. Otherwise, your word means exactly squat and you shouldn't be trusted by anyone.

Keep your word or don't give your word, it's as simple as that.

To be on time anywhere shows that you respect the other person. To be late, unless you have a perfectly valid excuse, is impolite.

If everyone was allowed to be late, WHERE WOULD THIS WORLD BE?! Looking appropriate?? ARE U KIDDING ME? Unless you're a model, looks don't mean anything! Organization is needed, therefore if YOU'RE falling behind, then you should have to pay the price for holding other people up. When you're tardy- EVERYONE suffers!

Most companies are tolerant, one that i worked for had the policy was 1st time late ok, if you called in, 2nd time late you couldn't get a raise for 6 months. (probation period) 3rd time late with no good reason (like your tree) and you are fired. That is tolerant enough. It was no surprise, it was their policy, you knew it when you hired on. Being late without a very good reason is like slapping someone in the face. I wouldn't tolerate that for long either.

It is a complete lack of respect for those whom you keep waiting. In business, if you are constantly keeping your clients waiting, you will represent yourself as unprepared and disinterested in their business. I get real irritated by people who constantly are late.
