Who are we to tell others how many children they can have? Besides, just because someone has a low
IQ doesn't make them stupid. There are different forms of intelligence. They could have a lot of
street sense or common sense yet may lack the logic required for an IQ test. And there are many out
there with high IQ and no compassion, yet others with low IQ and enough love and compassion to make
great parents. Being a parent isn't about your intelligence. We should not be dictated nor should we
have to live up to certain criteria to suit only a small minority of people. |

Well that's ridiculous just because someone isn't intelligent doesn't mean they're bad people. Yes
my IQ is well over 100 but i don't judge people as people on such characteristics. |

IQ has nothing to do with raising kids in unsavory environments. Many people with IQ's above 150
have been quite unsavory people. Jim Jones who murdered many people was quite intelligent.... Many
people with IQ of only 100 have raised wonderful children....being bad is not a matter of IQ, but
choice. 2 kids going to the same school, living on the same block, same IQ.....both going different
directions in life......upbringing maybe.....peer pressure maybe........choice-- for sure. |

This is an outrageous suggestion and I can’t help but be amazed at how someone can make such a
suggestion. Do you know that only about 20% of IQ tests can be CALLED accurate? Also, IQ tests can
never assess how intelligent a person is to the full extent. It is absurd and very unfair to put
such conditions on people who wish to have children. Also, You IQ level has nothing to do with how
well you will raise your child. |

No, are you serious it's like trying to determine what your child would look like although your
motives are really appreciated your method of IQ testing is ridiculous and I don't approve. We need
making babies to stay the old fashion way, and furthermore two smart people can have a mentally
challenged baby there are plenty of other factors so this really doesn't make sense!! |

What a scary world that would be, where having children were a dictated thing. That idea ranks right
up there in the scary department with forced sterilization of whatever group. IQ really has nothing
to do with how educated a person is, and it has nothing to do with the quality of a home or how
valuable a person is to society. |

It seems like the only positive thing to draw from your debate is the question of what should be
done with kids in the hands of parents truly inept and socially handicapped. 100 is a pretty steep
toll for the right of future lineage. I mean as long as there's some sort of plan in place for the
kid, however that plan may work, retarded people have an IQ of 70.
You seem to be treating the kids like some sort of baggage that are a burden to have to watch over
and blaming the >100 IQ person (which is i guess what they'd be called) for doing something as
stupid as having a kid more than likely due to their 99 point IQ. 100 is such a random number. Do

underclassmen. What if it were only the superest of super-geniuses who could have kids. We could

To the person who proposed this debate..Some of the most loving people I have ever met have low
IQ's. Having a high IQ means nothing. Having been around so called Intelligence level/genius people,
.Oh, and they will tell you just how smart they are (which makes you think that it isn't very smart
to announce it)..has shown themselves to be: Terrible at parenting, not so nice behaviors,
narcissism at its best, and chasing after things that really don't matter. What does being smart
really mean in this society?. IQ has nothing to do with it!.. |

I have a high IQ, but know intelligent individuals who don't. IQ tests really don't have much of a
value. |
