That is a good idea, but it is a free country. But sometimes they go to far and think of Princess
Diana and the movie Paprazzi, it could happen i tell Because it did happen |

Look what happened to Brittany Spears. Not that I'm supporting her or anything, but she had a
nervous wreck because of them. |

Yeah someone is bound to be hurt, but really a law, i don't know something needs to happen to make
them back off |

If asked to stop the law should require the paparazzi to stop under penalty of a heavy fine and the
removal and donation of what ever camera they are using. This will never happen because of the
united states right of free speech. |

Paparazzi are essentially parasites, but I think that celebrities are often fair game. Let's be
perfectly honest--celebrities desperately need the press in order to remain prominent and keep their
name recognition, especially when they are not featured in new movies or television shows.
What I find is that prominent actors, models, entertainers and other television personalities are
perfectly willing to seek out the press when it serves their personal needs, but then turn around
and cry foul when the media expresses an interest in a story that is uncomfortable for them, or if
their photo is taken when they do not look their best. Celebrities can't have it both ways. The
media will serve as both a constructive and destructive element in their lives. They simply cannot
expect photographers and journalists to appear when they snap their fingers, in order to listen to a
press release, only to vanish when they are no longer useful.
I am sure that some of the most prominent Hollywood stars have already made their fortunes and feel
that they may dispense with the media, having no real need for them anymore. But if one were to ask
the majority of mediocre, third rate "stars" of British television programs and soaps--who sometimes
have modest armies of teenage fans--to be honest about their relationship with journalists and
photographers, they would likely admit their need for them. These television personalities need free
promotion, especially when they are out of work. In a way, they are rather fortunate that the media
is still interested in them and that even half decent newspapers will interview unemployed former
soap actors, like Rupert Hill, and publish totally frivolous interviews about how the actor gets
emotional and cries when he watches the Simpsons. Without the press and the paparazzi, most
celebrities would just be plain old actors--unrecognized, unknown and a lot poorer. |
