All people have a strong tendency to choose what they want to believe and then accept or dispute new
information based on their existing paradigm, rather than its own merit. It is hardly a new
phenomenon. It reminds me of the old joke;
Did you hear they finally found the missing link between caveman and civilized man?
No, what is it?
Us. |

I’d have to agree that it’s either because of the reason stated within this debate’s heading,
or it’s due to a lack of understanding or knowledge of such scientific fields. |

Simple question: Who was there to see the big bang? So how do you KNOW? There can be evidence,
sure, but there is no empirical evidence, so we can't be sure. It always come back to belief.
Creationists believe in God. They have faith that God has existed forever.
Evolutionists believe that there was nothing, out of this nothing came something (a ball of gas),
and that gas exploded, causing everything.
If evolution and the big bang are proven, why do the words "scientists believe" show up in so many
articles? They have faith based on "evidence" but it is still faith, i.e. Belief.
So the argument is: Belief in God or belief in a cosmic fart. I'll take God over bad chili any day. |
