Once A Society Loses Control Of Other Socities Then Do They Want To Appologize Or Even Claim They Were Good Natured.
What kills me about people who defend imperialism is that they take the position that historically they were a kind people. England had an Empire from the 16th century to about the mid 1900's. Not once did they appologize for bad behavior until pieces of their empire were lost through revolution for independence, guilt, or politlcal pressure. There are reasons why people fight back and it wasn't because of your good nature. Try reasons of patronizing, disrespect, marginalizing, elitism, exploitation and racist that made people revolt. Ask Gandhi.

What are these imperialist defenders you speak of? Lunatic fringe groups like the aryans? Ha! No,no in canada we have it drummed into our heads every day that the white man is a race of evil nazis and are a blight to the planet. Of course no one like to think that almost every race has savagly oppresed the other at one point in time all the way back to the dawn of humans.

Sorry but I never brought race in this discussion as the primary point if this debate. Get that out of your head. The topic is about societies and cultures, not the color of ones skin. That has nothing to do with behavior. If anything, race or the use of racism is just a tool.

The English were the same as every other empire-building nation, like the Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch etc, and no, we weren't kind people. Who was? Who are these defenders of imperialism you speak of?
I tell you what at least we taught Gandhi to bloody spell, judging by your rather feeble spelling skills, we should have at least kept the yanks under the cosh for a bit longer because you’ve really let things slide.

Who cares who were empires. That is not my debate. Stay on topic. Is that so hard to do? Defenders of it were those who had them and romanticize about them today and those who have them now. Duh.

Any smart revolutionary like Gandhi knows to understand the enemy before revolting against them and that includes your educational system. History proves that time and time again. "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer."

Just like a typical brit, you like to deflect with spelling nazi attacks. Plus when I debate about brits I intentionally mispell to bait an arrogant response. Works everytime. Your kind always feel the need to correct others as do most arrogant Brits. Mispelling words seem the easiest way to bait arrogant people in discussion bords. LoL. Any misspelling in my last response. LOL.
