On a short term basis it would probably be good, the problem is every time we get in an oil price
bind we scream until they come up with another short term fix and then we do nothing about
alternative energy source investment. Then the next emergency of our own making comes along and,
with a total lack of irony, scream the same crud again. |

Just the threat of it has dropped prices by 20 cents per gallon where I live. What will happen when
we start to actually drill? |

No, it would be good, because we do not have energy independence, the direction of the oil industry
determines the direction of our economy. If we continue to have high gas prices, we one day might
not have enough money to invest in energy independence. |
