Obama Is Muslim And The US Should Not Trust Him
Although he claims that he is not Muslim, he was raised Muslim. With the war in Iraq and all that has happened, America does not need anyone with any ties to the Muslim religion as President. What do you think?

But you have to look at the facts on obamas web site he tells everyone i will and have not ever practice islam. So the main point is he lied to everybody. Heres a website that tells all of his lies http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/50lies.asp Also if obama was really a christian he would not believe in gay marriage and abortion. I have proof that gay marriage is mentioned in the bible as an obamanation. Its located in Romans

No Muslim should be in charge of our country! It would send out country straight downhill. Hilary Clinton should be our next president. Now that she is out of the running we have to depend on McCain who seems a little iffy to me. I definetly wouldn't trust Obama and am not voting for him.

Oh Honey. Get your facts straight. He is Christian. CHRISTIAN. People just started this "Muslim" thing because his name is similar to osama. and by the way, 1/4 of the world is Muslim. Just, for your information.

Make sure these internet sites are not biased. He was never a hardcore Muslim. He went to a public grade school in Indonesia that rarely spoke of the Christian and Islam faith. He spent 2 years at a Catholic school and 2 years at a Muslim school from ages 6 to 10.

Obama was born and raised in the Muslim religion. Although, I do not judge all Muslims, I do not think that they can be trusted. His name is Muslim. He was Muslim. He may not practice it today, but he was raised with Muslim beliefs. He is racist against whites and women. So based on those three facts, we should not elect him. If the US elects Obama, they will be going from bad to worse. Just because Obama talks a good talk, he will not walk a good walk. People in the US need to wake up and see Obama for what he really is. He is a good brainwasher. He cannot even debate well. (That is why he does not want to debate Ohio). He backs out of important things. That alone tells you that you should not trust him.

Obama..... Osama..... We are idiots if we elect him. However due to conspiracy theory, who knows if any muslims really attacked us. I really believe it was our own government. However none of this can be proven, but I really don't want to take a chance electing a possible terrorist. And no not all muslims are terrorists, I have met some nice people who were muslim. The real reason I question Obama, is because #1 look at his name, and #2 I have heard his racist remarks towards whites #3 he has also made horrible remarks towards women in power. I really don't want someone like him running our country, that is racist against whites, biast towards women, and a possible terrorist.

I do not think that Obama should be allowed to become President of the United States because at one time in his life, he was Muslim. With all that has happened with the war and with 9/11, I cannot trust anyone who has a Muslim connection. Muslims do not like Christians. This is why we are at war. I personally do not trust Barrack Obama and it is actually scary to think what might or could happen if he does with the Whitehouse. He even made the remark that religion does not affect politics. If that was true, then we would not be at war. Therefore, I believe that no one should trust Obama.

Obama was in fact was enrolled into a Muslim school by his father. However, this does not in fact mean that he decided as an adult to be a Muslim. It is well known that he was a member of Trinity United in Chicago for 20 years and I'm pretty sure that's not a Muslim church.

The reason Obama should be getting any heat on this subject is the fact that he tried to downplay his Muslim background. Rather than stand up to the bigotry that exists against Muslims in America he decided to run from it. His knowledge of Islam would actually give him a unique perspective into fighting Islamic extremists. He should've taken the high road rather than the politically convenient one if he is truly a politician of change.

First of all if you have read Newsweek he stated he was in fact not muslim!!!!!!!!! He believes in god but never devoted to one religion! Even if he was wouldn't he have done something and bush himself has killed many of our citizens over 5,000 more than 911! It cant get that much worse than Bush. And incase you've forgotten there is something called impeachment incase he's not the guy we saw and is evil. What are the chances of that?

And what kind of "Christian" is George Bush? Aren't Christians supposed to be pro-life? Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he oversee the highest number of executions in TX as governor?

I won't even start about all the blood on his hands from the Iraq debacle. More people - Americans - have died because of our own terrorist-in-chief than from any Muslim I can think of.

I think you are one of the most ignorant people on this website. As the president of the United States' religion has nothing to do with his foreign policy this is completely irrelevant and bigoted. You are the reason people do not like Americans, stop giving us a bad name
It is amazing to me that the Catholic church still has the ability to make people think like this. What is wrong with you? Do you think you are better than a Muslim because you have a different belief system. I thought religion was supposed to teach us tolerance and to love one another. Obviously a lot of you are interpreting religion in a very dangerous and derelict way. Hitler used this feeling of superiority to create Nazi Germany and your mindset is no different from that of the Nazi's. I hope some of you reevaluate your view on religion, you don't have to denounce your faith but listen to what it teaches because this certainly is not it.

Lawcom has said most of what I would like to say already.

Another point is that no child should ever be called Muslim, Christian, Jewish etc. A child has not had a chance to know enough facts to decide whether or not they are Muslim Christian etc. They should simply be referred to as from a Muslim family. If he was, so what?

Religion of all descriptions should be kept out of politics.

My God I've not heard such inbred fascist ignorant nonsense for quite a while..

I think it is quite clear that Obama is American believes in America and wants to make a difference to a country he belongs to.. And that for a politician is quite rare..

I'm from the UK so that is an uninterested, unbiased opinion.

But the most shocking ignorance about that statement is that all Muslims are evil.. I'd love Obama to be Muslim how great and amazing would that be, give the diplomacy in Muslim regions a real chance.. But sadly he is not and even more sadly is the response of the bigots on the other side of this discussion..

I work continually with Muslims and Siekhs and the Asian community here in the UK with MelaFestival.com and that racist bigoted agenda does not exist in the UK.. Even after we were also bombed.. Blind ignorant, dumb reacting Americans can not blame an entire peoples based on the actions of a few men, who at least believed what they were doing was a just cause..

You have no just cause to slander and attack an entire religion, people and demographic based on the crimes of a few rebel activists.. Should all Americans and all Christians be held accountable for bombing Japan ...

People need to stop getting their information from biased Internet websites. I have read so much and heard so much about Obama that just isn't true. His life has been exposed and he has not tried to hide anything. If he has, then he is really good. Unfortunately, the Democrats might be running themselves into the ground and McCain might walk right in. Don't need 4 more years of Bush. Well, close to it anyway.

Obama is a much more religious person than George Bush. I believe this and little else the media may attempt to sell me on the man. Can't you look at a person and see more than someone trying to trick you? If you think there's anyone in Washington inexperienced in brain washing, your brain is locked in the washer. He doesn't use religion in a capacity that demands you to belong to his faith. Are you going to oppress him for his beliefs? What kind of egg would be on your face if he was Christian? What does it matter? How would it change what you think of him? If you don't like him, don't let his religion be your excuse as to why you're going to not vote for him. At the same time, don't close your eyes to his message just because that's what politicians have had you do to yourself in the past. Obama wants your eyes to be opened. Resistance is so last election.

Also Christians aren't perfect. There have been mass murders who are christians, so does that mean all off christians are murders?? No. Religion has nothing to do with it.

To start with, Barack Obama is a Christian - which not everyone, including myself at first, was aware of.

Race or religion should most certainly NOT be an issue in politics, nor any aspect of life. Obama has lived amongst Muslims, and if anything this is an advantage, as he has heightened his understanding of this group of people, and will surely have more respect from the Muslim world - a great advantage in dealing with all the relevant issues America and the rest of the world are faced with today.

Obama has also reiterated, on numerous occasions, that everyone should remain equal and united, and that:

Barack Obama has reiterated on countless occasions, everyone is equal and united -

"There's not a black America and white America, and Latino America and Asian America; there's the United States of America".

Obama was raised in a Christian lifestyle, but he has praised his Muslim father whom left him at age 2 1/2 and made his mother support him. But, on the contrary, he has claimed he is not Muslim. Though, think about it: Why would he admit he was a Muslim? For all we know, he could be lying.

It is really very sad to see how people are generalizing people belonging to one religion. Muslims are being targeted in the western society enough already because of the 9/11 incident. As sad as the event was the Muslim society has times and again denied any feelings of hatred towards Christians or Americans. The acts of any fundamentalist groups can not represent the entire society and it is wrong to judge Obama simply because he is linked to Muslims in some way even though he denies being a Muslim himself.

How would we as the Christian community respond if it was said that Bush had no other reason to attack Iraq but his hatred of Muslims being a Christian?

I AM AGAINST THE DEBATE STATEMENT AND PRAY THAT AMERICANS DO NOT BELIEVE IT. If Americans are so racist as to show horrible religious discrimination in our country, then we deserve whatever happens.

THERE ARE ONLY A FEW (23%) who may think like the statement says and they are RADICAL RIGHT CHRISTIANS led by Pat Robertson who feeds that horrible way of being. He and his followers who listen to him WHO make such UNAMERICAN statements are not speaking for all Americans; just for judgmental "Bible Believers" who say they have the love of God in them, for them and only them.

The Radical Right Christians following Pat Robertson are no better than the Radical Muslim Terrorists and their dangerous followers.

I PLEAD TO ALL OF THE WORLD TO KNOW THAT AMERICANS ARE NOT NARROW-MINDED AGAINST ANY RELIGION OR RELIGIOUS PERSON JUST BECAUSE HE/SHE IS 'NOT A CHRISTIAN.' PLEASE DON'T JUDGE US AND OUR CHRISTIANITY BY THE EXTREMIST AMONG US. PLEASE.

My, irrational much? Obama was never Muslim, has never claimed to be Muslim and is not currently Muslim. To claim otherwise is a bald-faced lie.

Besides, I'd trust a lot of moderate Muslims before I'd ever trust a fundamentalist Christian in the White House again. 8 years of religious stupidity is more than enough.

Added: Ex-Christian, now atheist and you notice I specifically said "fundamentalist Christian", right? You know, like the idiot in the White House who has been specifically catering to Christian interests and his own personal vendettas over the past 8 years? We're a secular society and Dominionist Christians like Bush want nothing better than to turn us into a theocracy.

No thanks.

What religion are you? And what gives you the right to judge all Christians, on the account of a few bad Christians you have come in contact with? I'm not saying I'm a Christian, but come on, I hear all of you complain about these "Christians," and than you say all Christians are like that. Yet you want them not to be judgemental.... practice what you preach.

-Oh and please do research. If the father is Muslim, the children will be Muslim. Please research that, before you say things that don't make sense.

Obama was never a Muslim. This is a smear concocted by Repugnican operatives. The Republicans know that a swathe of the American electorate is severely lacking in critical faculties of any kind, so they can get away even with preposterous claims which have no basis in fact. Witness the "swift-boating" of John Kerry, for example.

Obama attends a Christian church every week. He was raised as a Christian. Although his father was a Muslim, he left the family when Barack was two and had no influence on the child's upbringing.

And frankly, it's a little facile to say that "Muslims don't like Christians". There are many Christian countries in the world. Most of them don't find themselves enmeshed in wars against Muslims. The USA generates anger because of its policies, not because of its religion.
