It isn't that much money. Also would you rather have the leader of the United States go to the YMCA?
It's a security thing. If he wants to play basketball he must have it onsite or they won't allow him
to go. |

First, I've neither seen nor heard any confirmation of this claim.
Second, the facilities available to Presidents - The White House, Camp David, and I'm sure more I
don't know about - are already equipped for recreation in a wide variety of ways, depending on where
the court would be added it would actually be an asset to whichever facility. It doesn't make it
just his court. In fact military facilities often have these courts, why can't the President?
Third, if that court cost only .001% of the cost of the war in Iraq then it would still be the Taj
Majal of basketball courts. Clearly the cost of doing this is peanuts.
Fourth, think of the mad skills he could use in his foreign diplomacy, challenging Putin to a game
of pick-up and dunking right in front of him? Yeah, take that beaatch!" |

The cost is hardly going to break the budget. Be worried if he starts spending billions of dollars
on things, not a couple of thousand. He's your head of state, he doesn't need it, but you shouldn't
begrudge him having it if he wants it. |
